---- Chapter 167: I Came From Afar Just to Meet You After their late-night feast, Olivia barely dared to lift her head, afraid she might see more than she should. The big boss was acting way too strange. Was this really Aaron-the ruthless, razor-sharp lawyer who cut through arguments in court without hesitation? The same cold, unyielding CEO who never cracked a smile at work? Tonight, the only word Olivia could think of to describe him was devoted. No, scratch that. Considerate. Clara, on the other hand, was warm and friendly, already chatting animatedly about Silverton's top ten attractions.
"When it comes to snacks," Clara said, "the most famous spot is the street right behind our university. You can find everything there from all over the country." Olivia's eyes sparkled. "I love street food. I really want to go there." ---- Clara smiled. "We can go this weekend. That's when it's busiest. Back in college, my friends and I used to spend hours wandering around, eating, and shopping." "Send me the address..." Olivia trailed off. Aaron stood up suddenly. "We've had a long day. Let's head back." The four of them walked to the restaurant entrance.

Clara was the first to open the rear door. "Liv, don't we stay at the same hotel? Come on, let's go together." Aaron opened the driver's side door and scowled. Olivia faced a career-defining dilemma-where should she sit? Taking the front seat would probably get her scolded by the boss. Sitting in the back with the boss's wife felt like she was putting Aaron in the role of chauffeur. Before she could decide, Tristan spoke. "Clara, you two go ahead. We have some stuff to handle." After saying goodbye, Olivia reluctantly climbed into the car with Tristan.
"So," Tristan asked with a grin, "still planning to be the third wheel?" "No, no!" Olivia shook her head frantically. "I did not ---- expect Aaron to be like this in private. I just saw him peel eight shrimp for Clara. When she was eating fish, he helped pick out the bones. And the way he slid her coat on-so smooth. My perfect, cold CEO image just crumbled." Tristan laughed out loud. Olivia quickly zipped her lips. They weren't close enough yet to gossip freely. Tristan started the car. "What's the worry? They can't hear us anyway." I hope you're not a traitor, Olivia thought. "Step on it!
We have work tomorrow," she added. Tristan raised an eyebrow. "You sure boss me around smoothly." Olivia didn't skip a beat. "Who was it that wouldn't let me drive earlier?" "Fine, fine. Happy to serve Olivia the great lawyer," Tristan said, playing along. Meanwhile, in another car, Aaron tapped his fingers lightly on the steering wheel, hesitating to drive. Clara asked, "What's wrong?" Aaron shot back, "Do you think I'm your driver, Mrs. ---- Devereaux?" "You're ridiculous. It's just a short ride." Clara opened the door and slid into the front seat. Aaron finally looked satisfied.
"Why did you talk so much with Olivia anyway?" "Curiosity about the law," Clara said casually. Aaron's eyes twinkled. "Funny, I've never seen you this curious about me." Clara tumed to him with a faint smile. "You're my husband now. What's there to be curious about?" Aaron's lips curled into a pleased smirk. He reached out and intertwined his fingers with hers. "Exactly right." Clara leaned back, teasing softly. "Do you think Tristan likes Olivia?" Aaron raised an eyebrow. "You worry about everyone else but ignore your own husband." Clara giggled. "So, Mr.
Lawyer, have you been happy these past few days?" Aaron's tone was flat. "Not really." "Why not?" she asked. "Not feeling well," he replied.
