---- Chapter 154: A Chance Encounter with Mason Clara finished her song, and the bar erupted into applause. "Encore! Another one!" shouted a few enthusiastic patrons. The bassist grinned. "Miss, that was amazing! One more, come on!" The drummer and keyboardist nodded in agreement. "We're in perfect sync tonight. Keep it going!" Clara couldn't resist such encouragement. She smiled and said, "Okay, I'll sing another love song. Hope that's alright." "Absolutely!" The band struck up a familiar melody, and Clara's voice floated across the room, tender, soft, and full of longing.
She sang a ballad about loneliness: Alone again, the night feels cold, Shadows whisper secrets untold. I reach for you but you're not there, ---- A silent echo fills the air. It was as if the lyrics were lifted straight from her heart. Clara poured every ounce of feeling into the performance. The audience fell completely silent, entranced by her voice and the hauntingly beautiful melody. Every note wrapped around the listeners, capturing their attention completely. When Clara returned to her seat, Scarlett clapped until her hands were red. "That was amazing!

You sounded even better than the singer!" Clara flushed slightly. "Come on, she's a professional." "No way! Your voice is incredible. I've been in the entertainment world for years. I can tell talent when I hear it. You should release an album!" Scarlett continued. Clara laughed. "Album? Are you kidding me? I barely have time for anything else." She finished her drink in one go, still riding the high from singing, and made a mental note to jam with the band again sometime-they had already exchanged contacts.
"Hey beautiful, want a drink with us?" two men appeared with a bottle of red wine, uninvited. ---- Clara smiled politely. "We don't drink, thank you." "Come to a bar and don't drink? Are you joking?" The one ina gray hoodie, barely out of his teens, plopped down at their table. Sierra's lips tightened. "Who says you have to drink at a bar?" The second guy, wearing jeans, followed suit. "Relax, beautiful. We just wanted to meet you, that's all." Sierra's tone sharpened. "We're not here to make friends. Leave us alone." The guy in jeans frowned. "Disrespecting us? Careful.
You don't want to mess with us." Clara and Scarlett exchanged uneasy glances. Alone, no backup, three women-one pregnant-and a secret celebrity. What could they do? Scarlett slid her phone out from under the table, ready to text her driver. "What are you doing?" the guy slammed the table. "Calling reinforcements?" The three women jumped. Teen boys with no filter could be dangerous when provoked. They exchanged frantic looks, unsure what to do.
