---- Chapter 141: You Helped Me Relieve My Stress The weight pressing on Aaron's chest finally lifted, leaving a sense of relief he hadn't felt in days. By the time he returned to the hotel, it was already three in the morning. As he stepped into his room, just about to grab his pajamas and hop in the shower, a familiar, comforting scent floated through the air. His eyes scanned the room and landed on the bed. The comforter was slightly rumpled, and on the nearby sofa lay Clara's jacket and handbag. So she had come to see him. A small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at Aaron's lips.
His heart softened, warming in a way it hadn't for a long time. He showered quickly, then climbed into bed. ---- Before long, Clara had shifted closer, curling herself into his arms. Watching her sleep, he had no desire to disturb her. He held her close by the waist, and soon he, too, drifted into deep, uninterrupted sleep. Sunlight streamed through the curtains the next morning, painting the room in soft gold. Clara stirred awake to find Aaron still fast asleep beside her. The sharp, commanding man she knew was gone, replaced by softness and vulnerability.
His tousled hair fell carelessly across his forehead, lending him an effortless, untamed charm. His brows were faintly furrowed, lips pressed just so, and the light stubble along his jawline made him look irresistible in a raw, masculine way. Clara's throat went dry at the sight. He was so intoxicating, she almost wanted to lean in and kiss him. She reached out gently, brushing a hand across ---- his brow. "Honey, are you done staring?" Aaron's voice was low, lazy, and still half-asleep. His eyes were glassy with morning haze, not fully awake yet. Clara didn't reply.

She simply smiled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. Aaron smirked casually, but his gaze slowly heated, igniting her pulse. Their breaths mingled, and the air grew thick with tension. Without warning, Aaron leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. "Baby, you are my lucky star," he murmured, his breath hot and intense. Every breath she tried to take was stolen by him. She lifted her head to match his rhythm, moving instinctively with him. Her fingers traced the line of his jaw, down the firm slope of his throat, over his chest, feeling his heartbeat hammering beneath her touch.
---- Soft moans slipped past her lips, involuntary and spreading through the room. Their bodies moved together, tangled in an intimate, tender rhythm that seemed to stretch time. Eventually, their breathing calmed. Clara collapsed onto the bed, too exhausted to move. She could hear him whispering, "I had breakfast sent up. Eat, then rest more. I'll head to the office. Text me when you're up." Clara, too tired to eat, slept until the sun blazed high in the sky. When she finally stirred, she checked her phone.
Aaron had sent a message every half hour, each one asking, "Are you awake?" She replied simply, "Just woke up." His response came quickly. "Eat first. I'll pick you up in an hour. We're going to the hospital to see Tristan."
