---- first. "Don't ask her! She's still a blank slate. Say one naughty thing and she turns beet red!" Scarlett arched a brow. "But she's been married over six months now. You're telling me Aaron hasn't trained her up yet?" Sierra raised her beer and clinked it against Scarlett's glass. "I'll bet you she's still a virgin." Scarlett's eyes widened like saucers. She set down her glass and practically leapt off the couch, landing right next to Clara, eyes locked onto her like she was some rare specimen. "No way. No freaking way. Tell me that's not true!" Clara's face flushed red hot.
She hadn't even figured out how to respond. Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "Then where'd your kid come from?" Clara fidgeted awkwardly. That story... yeah, not one she was dying to revisit. Sierra waved her hand. "Ask me! I've got the scoop." ---- Scarlett immediately turned to her, eyes sparkling. Sierra cleared her throat dramatically. "Ahem, it's a long story..." Scarlett leaned in, passed her a drink, and gave her a pat on the back. "Take your time. I'm all ears." Clara's heart sank. She could already see this was going to be a long night.

She scooted over and tapped Scarlett on the shoulder. "Uh, maybe we circle back to your breakup? Wanna talk more about Derek?" Scarlett didn't even glance at her. She swatted her hand away like it was a fly. "Girl, hush. This is way more interesting." Who cared about some breakup when there was this juicy of a story on the table? So Sierra launched into the whole saga-how Aaron saved Clara like some gallant knight, how Clara ended up secretly using his sperm to have a baby-it was a full-blown soap opera.
---- She told it with flair: dramatic pauses, wild hand gestures, highs and lows like a seasoned storyteller. Scarlett's jaw was on the floor. "Holy crap... even with everything I've seen in this business, that I did not expect. Not even a K-drama would dare write that plot!" Then suddenly, she gasped and turned back to Clara. "Wait, wait-so you've been married to Aaron for months now. Do you still sleep in separate rooms?" Clara pulled her hands off her burning face and muttered, "Who said that? We share a room." Sierra leaned in, even more curious.
"Then how come you two haven't, you know..." Two nosy faces loomed over her like twin microphones. Clara felt so cornered. How was she supposed to answer that? She stood up in a panic. "Um, I need to use the bathroom!" ---- Classic bathroom escape. The last resort. But Scarlett grabbed her wrist and yanked her back onto the couch. "Nope. You don't talk, you don't leave!" Sierra added, "So you really haven't done it?" Clara buried her face in her hands. Scarlett was in full drama queen mode. "My God! How does Aaron even survive?
You're drop-dead gorgeous, curves in all the right places, soft and sweet-what man wouldn't be dying lying next to that every night?" Sierra chimed in, "He probably takes a cold shower every night." Scarlett added, "If I were him, I'd be sick from all that restraint." Sierra nodded solemnly. "Poor guy. Real tragedy." Scarlett clutched her chest dramatically. "Such suffering. Truly pitiful." Sierra: "And all that overuse of his hand...
---- definitely not healthy." The two of them kept volleying back and forth, and Clara finally snapped, "Can you please stop?!" Scarlett leaned in again, unrelenting. "Then tell us-what's going on in that innocent little heart of yours?" Clara huffed, "What do you think? I just want to take it slow. Build some emotional connection, get to know each other more first!"
