---- Clara winced. No way. She didn't want to end up on camera or become the center of attention. "Do you have anything farther back?" The assistant immediately fanned out the remaining tickets. Clara didn't hesitate-she picked two near the back and led Aaron inside. Scarlett was being interviewed onstage, but she noticed Clara enter and gave her a wink from a distance. As Clara and Aaron passed the front row, they suddenly locked eyes with someone familiar-Sebastian. He wore gray loungewear today, looking casual, almost disheveled.
It had only been a few days since they'd last seen each other, but he already looked older. A few strands of white hair had crept in, and his whole face seemed more gaunt. The bags under his eyes were obvious-he clearly hadn't been sleeping well. He stood up when he saw her. "Clara, here to catch a movie?" Aaron shook his hand politely-they'd met a few times before. Since Sebastian was Clara's mother's old friend, Aaron made a point of treating him with extra courtesy. ---- Clara couldn't help but blurt out, "Mr. Storm, have you not been feeling well? You don't look so great...
You really need to take care of yourself." Sebastian forced a smile. "Just haven't been sleeping well lately. Nothing serious. Don't worry. Oh, and this movie's actually pretty good-lI've seen it a few times already." Clara asked, "Are you performing today?" The man sitting beside Sebastian stood up with a grin. "Sebastian wasn't on stage this time. He was our music director-made a big contribution to this film." Clara turned to Sebastian with wide eyes. "That's amazing! You're seriously so multi-talented!" Sebastian waved a hand modestly. "Nothing like that.

Just an old friend asking for help, so I pitched in." He gestured between them. "This is my friend Nathaniel-the film's director. Nathaniel, this is Mrs. Devereaux." Nathaniel raised his brows and clapped. "Mrs. Devereaux? Come on, Sebastian-this must be your daughter, right? What, afraid I'd steal her for my next film if I knew?" Sebastian chuckled. "No, no. She's a friend's daughter." ---- Clara smiled. "I'd be honored if I were your daughter, Mr. Storm." Nathaniel laughed. "You really do look a lot like him! Sorry about the confusion. But seriously, Mrs.
Devereaux, you've got great camera presence. Ever consider acting?" Aaron stepped in, his tone cool. "She's not interested. You two can chat-excuse us." He gently tugged Clara toward the back row. Clara looked up at him, amused. "How do you know I'm not interested? What if I want to be a movie star and make it big?" Aaron didn't even blink. "You're not cut out for it. Besides, being Mrs. Devereaux can make you big money too." Clara burst out laughing. Honestly, she really didn't care for acting. Too much effort, way too much stress.
She preferred her current life-cozy, lazy, and blissfully ordinary. Once they settled into their seats, Clara asked, "Do I really look that much like Mr. Storm? That's the second time someone's mistaken us for family." Aaron looked at her carefully, then shook his head. ---- "Not really. But you both play piano-maybe that's the vibe people are picking up on." Clara nodded. That made sense. Her mom had always had that classy, artistic vibe too-same as Sebastian. Maybe that was the aura of a true artist. Clara grinned to herself. Did that make her half an artist, then?
On screen, the interviews were still rolling. They'd gone through the lead actors and were now onto the supporting cast and the director. Clara watched for a while, then got bored and picked up a movie flyer to read. It was a historical drama-lavish budget, all-star cast, even the side characters were played by big-name actors. Definitely a must-see. Aaron leaned in. "What's it about?" Clara smirked. "Definitely not the kind of movie you're thinking of." Just remembering the first movie they'd watched together at home made her want to crawl under a chair. Aaron's expression stayed deadpan.
"I still prefer the kind I was thinking of... at home." ---- Clara nearly whacked him. She suddenly remembered what Sierra had once said: "All men are the same. Every single one of them watches those dirty little films. Not a single exception." Back then, Clara hadn't believed her. But now? Even a man like Aaron... tsk tsk.
