---- Chapter 106: Romance in the Air "Ta-da! Let me introduce Boss Aaron's personal ride!" Derek announced, exaggerating every syllable. "Pretty sharp, huh? A Gulfstream 550! Top-tier in the world of business jets. I even helped pick it with the boss back in the day. Not bad taste, right?' Scarlett smirked, teasing him. "Sounds like you own it yourself." "One day, I might!" Derek grinned proudly. "After all, my wife Scarlett is capable and rich." Scarlett rolled her eyes dramatically. "Only you could turn living off your wife into a bragging point." "Hey, freeloading is a skill!
Shows I'm handsome enough to get away with it," Derek said without hesitation. Sierra snorted. "Handsome? Maybe. Shameless? That's obvious to everyone." Laughing and joking, the group boarded the plane. The two kids were the happiest-so much space they could run, jump, and create chaos to their heart's content. ---- The jet's interior rivaled a five-star hotel. It had a dining area, living room, bar, full kitchen appliances, and even two bedrooms. Once airborne, everyone explored a little before settling in the dining area. Flight attendants had laid out the pre-ordered lunch.
With a flight of just two and a half hours, the plan was simple: eat, relax, and arrive refreshed. Sierra nibbled her dessert, eyes wide. "Mr. Lawyer, how much do you think all this costs?" Aaron's voice was calm, almost understated. "It's just a standard business jet." Sierra raised her brow, amused. "Standard? Not exactly something your average person could buy. Clara, congratulations on marrying into a fortune." Clara laughed, wide and playful. "Forget that. I just want to know-if I divorced him, how much would I get?" "What kind of logic is that?" Derek howled.

"Holding on for the long term makes way more than a divorce!" Clara caught the flicker of irritation in Aaron's eyes and quickly covered herself. "Right, right! I meant I should find a way to hold onto him even tighter." Scarlett, already yawning, was struggling to keep her ---- eyes open. "I can't. I stayed up all night working. I need a nap. You guys keep chatting." Derek and Austin immediately launched into a game. Sierra took Leo and Elsie around for photos. Matt and his girlfriend settled in to watch a movie. The plane was so stable it barely felt like they were flying.
Clara wandered into another room to explore. The suite was fully equipped-even the bathroom had a bathtub with a panoramic window. The view was incredible. Too bad time was short; she was secretly curious what a bath in the clouds would feel like. Aaron followed her, noting her distracted gaze. "Thinking about taking a bath?" Clara shook her head. "No, no. Less than an hour until we land. It's not worth it." Aaron leaned closer. "Fine, no bath. But we still have an hour-plenty of time for other things." Clara blinked, confused.
"Other things?" He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close, "Like holding your husband tightly." Her eyes flicked toward the closed door. When had he shut it? Heat pooled in his gaze, and instinctively she hugged him back. "Are you mad, Counselor? I was just joking. I don't actually want a divorce." ---- "Even joking about it is forbidden." Aaron scooped her up in his arms, striding from the bathroom back to the bedroom. Clara's heart leapt. "I'm sorry! I won't joke about it again!" "Too late." His lips silenced her before she could say another word.
Clara gritted her teeth, ready to bite him, but his tongue was quick, darting away to trail teasingly along her earlobe. A jolt of electricity ran through her. Maybe it was the altitude, maybe not-but her body responded too fast. Her hands hovered weakly over his shoulders, torn between pushing him away and pulling him closer. "But... there are so many people outside..." "Don't worry. We're husband and wife." His voice was a low, gravelly growl, laced with an authority that allowed no argument. A fine sheen of sweat beaded on his temple, but his hands never stopped their delicious work.
Clara's knees buckled. She sank her teeth into her lower lip, fighting to stifle any sound, but her body sang a different song, a traitor's anthem of pure need. "Don't you dare mess up my clothes," she pleaded in a ragged whisper. "If I have to change, I'll die of
