Chapter 471 +25 Bonus Chapter 471 Claire's POV The morning came far too early. I was still exhausted from a long night, but I wasn't going to let my body control me. I had lots of plans for Damien's pack, and they all involved me gaining influence and push the rogues into what I wanted them to do. Yet, as I stepped out from the small trailer I had been given to stay in, I spotted a strangely familiar figure. Shielding my eyes from the sun, I called out. "Ethan?" Ethan turned, saw me, and froze. Yet his surprise only last for a moment before she huffed a breath and shook his head.

"I always figured you'd end up here, jail, or dead," he said. "I guess this is the best of those options." "I'm only here temporarily," I told him. "Sure," he replied, clearly not believing me. For a moment we just looked at each other. Then, cautiously, I stepped down from the trailer and approached him. "I didn't know you'd be here," I said. "Why wouldn't I?" he asked. "You knew I am a rogue. This is my home." "I guess," I admitted. In truth, I didn't think much about it at all. In a way, I figured Ethan was living out in an old tent somewhere or something.

I didn't know they had trailers and homes, as well as other buildings like a grocery store and even what looked like a café of some kind. Ethan watched me and likely saw as I was looking around in disbelief. "This isn't what you expected, is it?" Ethan asked. "It's fine. It wasn't what I expected either, and certainly not how they made it seem back in the pack. Life goes on for all of us. Some of the people have been here forever. Born in exile. They've all found a way to make this work." "It's almost like a regular town," I said. "It is a regular town. Come on," Ethan said.

"Would you like to meet your niece and nephew?" I still didn't know how I felt about Ethan and Victoria having pups together. I guessed it didn't really matter to me, so I hadn't given it too much consideration. "Sure, that'd be great," I said, even though I didn't care. I wanted an excuse to see more of the town, as well as to see the house Ethan was living in. My trailer was pretty small. If he had one similar, that would be hell to raise a family. I missed our family mansion. I wonder what was happening to it now that our parents were dead and Ethan and I were both exiled.

When the rogues would reclaim the pack, I'd take it back, but for now, I could only hope it was sitting empty. It made me furious thinking another anyone could have moved in like it belonged to them. 1/2 Bonus Ethan led me down the streets of town. The streets were mostly rocks and gravel and some dirt. No one really had cars here, though there were a few parked here and there. Most people seemed to just walk around everywhere. We reached a side street then, that seemed to lead to a residential area.

The houses here, while mostly designed from makeshift materials, seemed sturdy and were much bigger than the trailer I had stayed in last night. While they were nothing like my lavish mansion, there still seemed enough space for a family. Ethan walked up to the porch of one of the houses and after knocking on the door, let me inside, "Ethan? Are you back so soon? Weren't you going to speak to the Rogue King about...?" Victoria's voice trailed as she came out of the kitchen to see me entering through the front door.

Two kids, the spitting image of my brother, were playing with wooden toy figures in the living room. The both looked up at me as their mother stopped talking, like they were trying to piece together who I was. 日 Comments ப Support Share 2/2 *95 Bonus Joseph King
