---- Chapter 54 Shameful Stunt They didn't give Julia a single chance to make a move. Tobias didn't care whether Julia got a turn or not. He just wanted his fork. So when both sides squared off, he went straight into the cave and pulled out every piece of porcelain and cutlery Julia had brought back. "Tobias, how dare you come into my cave?" "Right and wrong can wait until Chief gets back. Mrs. Snow, you're Ardenia's mother, yet you pull this kind of shameful stunt in front of the Tribe?
And you still have the nerve to shout?" Tobias said, then turned and walked off, relieved that his little fork was safe. Halden said, "You can take the clothes, but that thing on your head? You have to give it back." He couldn't stand anyone touching something so personal, not even Ardenia's mother. Vesper finally caught on. Seeing Halden's reaction, he realized it must be something very private. Halden had always done Ardenia's laundry among the mates, so he knew her things better than anyone. Calder's expression darkened, too.
He obviously knew what it ---- was, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. The last time | was in the cave, | accidentally saw Ardenia wearing it. That little thing isn't meant to go on her head. Thinking about it, his cheeks blushed. Niall finally got it, too. !'m not as polite as Halden. At a time like this, why would I even bother protecting Julia's reputation? He stepped forward and yanked the bra right off Julia's head, tucking it into his chest like it was his prize. Halden and the others all turned to him at once. Niall acted like he hadn't noticed and instead looked at Julia.
"Since you're Ardenia's mother, I'll let this slide... but next time, stay out of our territory." As soon as he finished speaking, the boulder next to him exploded into dust. Oh my god! The therian onlookers behind them scrambled back, stunned. Nobody could believe that Niall, a level 7 therian, had that ---- kind of raw power. If any of the level 8s had stepped in, this whole mountain probably would have collapsed. Then Niall turned to Ardenia with a grin. "Little female, we're done with these dirty clothes. I'll get you a new set later." Hiss.

The therian in the tribe all sucked in air at once, shock written all over their expressions. That is a linen tunic. In the city, it takes at least two hundred prey just to trade for one. The process is so complicated that only a handful of nobles in the city ever get to wear it. After all, a single piece costs two hundred prey, which is basically a normal therian's food for an entire year. Ardenia really knows how to keep her mate in line. Julia's expression twisted into something hideous. | knowit. This ugly little thing only ever brings me trouble. !am her mother.
| am just taking a few of her things, and she still has the nerve to embarrass me like this. "Ardenia, you really outdid yourself," Julia said. "Heh." Ardenia let out a cold, humorless laugh. "Mother, next ---- time you might want to stay away from my territory and stop sneaking around like a thief. | will not be able to stop them for you again." "Ardenia, | am your mother. Is that how you talk to me? Let me tell you this. My mates will not let you get away with this." "Then am | really your biological daughter?" Ardenia shot back. "You have a filthy mouth.
Keep talking like that, and my mates will not go easy on you either." The look in Ardenia's eyes was terrifying. Julia felt a sudden spike of panic for no reason she could name. She forced herself to stand tall and snapped, "This is not over." After that, she hurried back into the cave, almost retreating. Ardenia snorted. Julia is still the biological mother of the original Ardenia after all. A warning is enough. With that thought, Ardenia left with her mates. She had too many things to deal with and no time to waste arguing with Julia.
"Hand it over." Halden walked up to Niall and held out his hand. ---- Niall grinned. "Why should I? | was the one who brought it back. Why would | give it to you?" Halden frowned. "That belongs to Ardenia." "But Ardenia is my little female too. What is wrong with her things staying with me?" Niall spread his nine tails wide. His white fur gleamed dangerously under the sunlight. He smiled as he adjusted his beast-hide kilt, clearly having no intention of giving anything to Halden. Ardenia was speechless.
She stepped forward, grabbed Niall by the beast-hide kilt, shoved her hand into his chest, and pulled out her underwear. "Little female, you are playing favorites," Niall said. Ardenia rolled her eyes. "Only someone mentally messed up keeps a girl's underwear on him. So tell me, is that you?" Niall had nothing to say. Ardenia had not even planned on taking it back. But she did not have many pieces of clothing to begin with. If she could not make fabric later, she might run out entirely. In the end, she convinced herself that washing it would make it wearable again.
---- When Halden saw the clothing returned to Ardenia, the icy tension on his expression finally eased. After they got back to the cave, Ardenia went straight into the kitchen. There was still some meat left inside. She took a portion out and picked a few wild tomatoes. The wheat was not ready yet, so a simple meal would have to do for now. Seeing this, Halden stepped in and took over her work. "! will do it. Your hand hurts, so you should rest." His voice was so soft it was almost impossible to hear. Ardenia did not want to bother with this cold and heartless leopard.
But she could not resist the pitiful look on his face, especially when he clearly did not even know what he had done wrong.
