Chapter 239 A Festival Meant for Her Chapter 239 A Festival Meant for Her Said so sooner? Halden felt half dead already. 45 +10 Free Coins Colin arrived with his head held high, his pitch-black body utterly shameless as he coiled himself around Ardenia's wrist. Tobias burst in right after, full of energy. "Wake up! Halden, Ardenia, get up already! It's a festival today! Rice balls! Rice balls!" Calder stood at the doorway holding a bundle of mugwort, clearly having waited a long time. When he heard movement inside, he stepped in as well. Vesper emerged from the shadows with his arms crossed.
D*mn it! When did he get here? It was lively. Far too lively. Halden was stunned. Tsk. Vesper walked over and lifted Ardenia straight out of the bed. Today, she was his. On his way out, he made sure to stab Halden right where it hurt. "If you know you can't handle it, line up farther back next time." Big wolf, maybe take a look at yourself first? Tobias blinked. "Who can't handle what?" Halden's face turned icy. "Do you still want to eat rice balls?" Tobias immediately shut up and slunk away. Niall couldn't hold it in. It was rare to see Halden get shut down this hard.
The key part was that the little female didn't explain a single word for him. That made it even funnier. "I said it's not what you think!" Halden snapped as he stood up from the bed. His linen pants were loose and comfortable, but they did nothing to hide what mattered. Dead silence. Niall thought, D*mn it! This is not fun at all. "Get to work!" 1/3 13:06 Wed, Jan Chapter 239 A Festival Meant for Her +10 Free Coins The fox turned away with forced pride. He had a long list of things to do today. His face stayed calm, but inside, he was falling apart.
What if the one Ardenia thought was "not good enough" was actually him? Niall's tail drooped, refusing to lift. He fell straight into a pit of deep self-doubt. The big wolf had dressed up on purpose today. He wore the clothes Ardenia had made for him earlier. At dawn, he had already gone to patrol the Fierce Lion Tribe territory, making sure nothing was out of place. Only after confirming everything was safe did he return to wash up, fussing over himself from head to toe, determined to look flawless. He deliberately left his shirt loosely tied.

He still remembered exactly what kind of look the little female liked And that wasn't all. He had prepared a surprise. Ardenia was busy washing up, completely unaware of what Vesper had planned. She only knew that the big wolf looked especially handsome today-but before she could admire him properly, a clingy troublemaker grabbed her face and turned it back. Colin stood beside her, copying her movements as he brushed his teeth with his very own toothbrush. "This is a towel," Ardenia explained patiently. "Hang it on the side after you use it. The bigger one is a bath towel.
You know what a bath towel is, right?" She was teaching him. Colin nodded. His towel was so soft-it was something she had prepared just for him. "Can I share one with you?" He didn't want everything to be separate, Ardenia paused, clearly thinking it over. The others had always behaved and used their own things. If I make an exception now... "I swear I won't tell anyone," Colin rushed to say when he saw her hesitation. "Ardenia, please. I don't want everything to be separate." He wrapped an arm around her and gently shook it. Fine. Fine.

Ardenia wiped his face with the towel, then even dabbed a bit of scented cream on him. Colin bent forward slightly, his expression pure bliss. Since it was a festival, Ardenia dressed up as well. She chose a green outer robe today. The inner skirt was still white, but with a touch of thoughtful design. Her hair was half-up, secured with a sandalwood hairpin. The emerald earrings were Colin's pick.
He had even changed his own ear ornaments to match hers. They had to be the same. Once everything was done, he climbed back onto her wrist. His beast form had shrunk again, small enough to look exactly like a bracelet. The bathroom door opened. Calder immediately stepped forward and gently covered Ardenia's eyes with mermaid silk. He took her hand and laughed softly. "Ardenia, don't be afraid. We prepared a festival gift for you. Come with me." O Before her eyes stretched a sea of flowers. At its center stood a newly built pavilion with two levels, covering roughly nine hundred square feet.
Clear water flowed beneath it, fed by a small stream. Niall had an incredible sense for scenery-strangely shaped stones were stacked artfully, some cute, some sturdy enough to sit on. Different flowers and plants lined the path. When it came to aesthetics, Niall's taste was unmatched. The water murmured as it flowed. Small fish swam through it-freshwater ones Calder had searched out specifically. Each one was beautiful, visible even from the bank at night. Beneath the covered walkway stood wooden tables, chairs, and even small daybeds crafted by Halden.
There were countless little wooden creations everywhere. Items that usually had to be piled near the dining table had all been moved here-her handmade accessories, the flower petals she had been drying The tables were covered with bouquets and Calder's handwoven decorations. Fruit-shell wind chimes swayed gently in the breeze. It wasn't the sound of nonsense. It was happiness, softly ringing. The first level was surrounded entirely by flowing curtains of mermaid silk, light and airy as they danced in the wind.
Tobias didn't have much to contribute, so under Niall's direction, he wrapped intricate floral patterns around each of the four pillars. 3/3 13:07 Wed, Jan 21 45 Liam Prescott
