Chapter 129 Bouquets Chapter 129 Bouquets Quincy added, "Then, I want two as well!" Calder paused before whining, "Ardenia..." 74 +10 Free Coins From beneath the stove, he carefully tugged at the hem of Ardenia's skirt. His eyes were hopeful, his mouth slightly open as if quietly asking to be fed. Ardenia slipped one into his mouth. The mushroom burst with savory juice around the prawn filling, layers of flavor unfolding at once. Pleased, Calder kept tending the fire. It was Quincy's first time tasting anything like this. In his mind, mushrooms had always been dangerous things.
Who would've thought they could be this tender and full of flavor? He suddenly felt he needed to work harder. As her father, he ought to raise his level too. Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to stand behind her when it mattered. The stronger Ardenia became, the more attention and trouble she would draw. That was only natural. The Wolf Tribe was simply too small; so small that one day, they might not be able to shield her. Quincy didn't stay for the meal. Setting aside his identity as her father, he was still a male, and when he tasted the mushroom, he caught Ardenia's scent on it.
So, once he swallowed, he made up a reason to leave. "You all eat. I'll go count how many people want stone pots. I'll come back and report the number." Ardenia nodded. "Alright. Thanks, Father." The smell of chicken grew richer and warmer in the air. Once that tiny interruption passed, Ardenia poured the mushrooms into the pot. She took the small dough balls she'd soaked earlier, stretched them flat, and pressed them in a neat ring along the rim of the pot. Chicken stew with bread-even the heavens would pause for a bite. Deria gazed at Ardenia with sparkling eyes, full-on awe. Wow...
Ardenia is unreal. Just looking at this table spread makes me want to drool. "Ardenia, I'm starving!" Deria bounced anxiously, even more restless than her cubs. "Hold on, just a little longer." Not long ago, Halden realized one stove wasn't enough, so he had added a small extra one nearby. After finishing the mushrooms, Ardenia fried up some eggs since there were little ones around. There happened to be a bit of prawn left, so she used every last piece. 1/3 14:24. Thu, Jan 8 Chapter 129 Bouquets 10 Free Coins By the time lunch was ready, Halden and the others had returned.

Niall and Tobias arrived first, jostling each other for position as they rushed up to Ardenia, proudly lifting the flowers in their hands. "Ardenia, these are for you. Aren't they pretty?" Tobias stared at her, fired up with determination. No way he was letting Niall outshine him. He'd chosen his bouquet with great care-blue and pink with a splash of red in the middle. Loud, bright, and absolutely the kind of thing he thought a little female would adore. Tobias practically glowed with confidence, one hand on his hip, chin tilted high like victory was already his. Ardenia was speechless.
His bouquet looked exactly like that flamboyant feather cloak from an old movie-loud, flashy, every color fighting for attention. Niall's, by contrast, was simple. One tone. Clean. Soft pink tulips. "Thanks. I like Niall's more." Sometimes, honesty really was the way to go. Ardenia accepted the bouquet from Niall. The fox, smug beyond belief, leaned in close right there in front of everyone. "My thanks." 12 Grinning, he tapped a fingertip against his cheek. A victory this sweet-surely a kiss wasn't asking too much. "Everyone's watching.
How about a flying kiss instead?" Ardenia slipped the flowers into a bottle. The soft pink tone instantly warmed the whole table. Deria watched with a grin she couldn't hide. Seeing someone else falling in love was the best kind of entertainment. "What about me?" Tobias puffed his cheeks. Ardenia pinched his face and took his bouquet as well. "My darling Tobias isn't the clingy type. Go wash your hands. Food's ready." "I..." He wanted to say he absolutely was the clingy type, but what could he do? The little female had already boxed him in. Wow... she's sharp. "I don't care.
I'm getting one too." 2/3 14:24. Thu, Jan 8 D> J Chapter 129 Bouquets 74 +10 Free Coins Tobias darted forward, planted a quick kiss, then swaggered off to wash up. He'd seen the spread. She'd cooked a ridiculous amount of delicious food today. Niall refused to back down. He leaned in and stole a peck of his own, then placed Tobias' bouquet into a jar. It was that annoying snake's heartfelt offering, after all-and the little female hadn't rejected it. Tsk... He really was such a considerate guy. Niall nearly moved himself to tears. Halden and Vesper came over one after the other.
Ardenia's gaze landed on Vesper. Seeing the color back in his face, she finally felt at ease. "Thanks for working so hard," he murmured, taking the plate from her hands. The big wolf smiled, the tips of his ears tinged red, his eyes soft like warm honey. "Feeling better today?" Ardenia asked gently. As she spoke, she lifted her hand and brushed the strand of hair stuck to his cheek back behind his ear. The warmth of her fingertips lingered there, a light tickle beneath his ear. It was strange, sweet, almost electric. Vesper tilted his head, his cheek brushing against her wrist.
His warm lips brushed her skin, his voice low and slightly husky. "Much better. Thank you, Ardenia." 14:24. Thu, Jan 8 Dylan
