Chapter 243 Sticky Fingers and Sweet Moments. Chapter 243 Sticky Fingers and Sweet Moments +10 Free Coins The cub poked at his horns with his tiny hands. When he realized they were soft, he jumped up in delight. "Sir, I like you! Your horns are so pretty." Smack! His chubby, sticky lips pressed against them, and everyone nearby practically jumped out of their skins. Scott immediately scooped him up. Oh, little rascal, no! You can't do that-his black snake mouth is off-limits! Only someone like Ardenia-those rock-hard palms of hers-could rein him in at all.
Scott had wondered more than once: if even Ardenia couldn't keep someone like Colin in line, then who in the tribe possibly could? He was completely unhinged. And yet-now he was behaving. Colin nibbled small bites of his rice ball under the safety of a sleeve. It was his first time eating one, and he had no idea it could taste so good. Sticky and sweet-but delicious. And Ardenia had peeled it for him. It had to be a reward for his good behavior. After what just happened, things returned to normal. Everyone knew how clingy Colin could be.
He'd only been bonded for a few days and had yet to appear in the tribe, and it was obvious-this was not a normal therian. Deria gave Ardenia a sympathetic look. Ardenia really was in for it-completely wrapped up in him. Luckily, Colin genuinely liked Ardenia. On that foundation, this didn't count as clinginess-it could be called affection. Thinking of the word affection, Deria couldn't help laughing. She was increasingly impressed by her own cleverness-she even came up with a word like that. Truly remarkable. "Deria, have some shrimp." Ventor handed her a piece of peeled shrimp.
Colin turned his head and noticed Halden peeling shrimp for Ardenia, and even Vesper doing the same. Even Calder, sitting next to them, offered Ardenia a piece dipped in sauce. "Ardenia, try this-it's sweet." Calder fed her the shrimp with his elegant fingers. Quincy loved watching these moments. In the past, these few had never gotten along, and as a father, he had worried endlessly. Life was full of bumps and setbacks, but it was good to see them reconcile. "Thanks, Calder. You eat too." "Of course." 1/3 13:07 Wed, Jan 21.

Chapter 243 Sticky Fingers and Sweet Moments +10 Free Coins Calder's warm smile and tender eyes were unmistakable. After awakening, he moved with a noble air- though he still loved to cry. Colin noticed Ardenia watching Calder. He opened his mouth, grabbed at her sleeve, and tugged. His head rubbed against her, rice ball forgotten, and he climbed onto her wrist again. Ardenia slipped him into her pocket, gently rubbing him a couple of times until he finally settled. That level of jealousy was going to backfire on him sooner or later.
After everyone had eaten their fill, Ventor and Scott stayed behind to help clear the dishes and clean. Once that was done, Halden brought out the sewing machine at Ardenia's request. The pavilion was finished now-finally, a proper space. The dried linen cloth was still stiff. Ardenia boiled it in water and dyed it at the same time. Deria had chosen her color first thing in the morning-red. Ardenia promised to do her best. She had tried several times back in the mountains, but without a fixative, the color faded quickly.
This time would probably be the same, but linen absorbed dye well; even faded, it would still have a beautiful pale purple sheen. So she agreed to Deria's request. Niall had helped collect a ton of rose petals. Because he loved the scent, he had even set aside a special plot for roses. Now, there were plenty for dyeing. After removing impurities, boiling the water, and carefully immersing the cloth, she soaked, stirred, and kneaded it repeatedly until the color turned out just right. Deria was ecstatic-she had never seen such beautiful fabric before. "Ardenia, imagine if we wore this...
it would look amazing!" She was already daydreaming. The green that Tobias had requested came from bamboo leaves. The bamboo dye produced a soft, gentle color. Halden and Vesper helped with the work and the subsequent drying. By the time everything was finished. most of the midday meal had already digested. This festival was turning out to be incredibly fulfilling. The rice in the fields needed harvesting, and a few mates were running around in a dizzy frenzy. As the sun began to set, Scott called Ardenia over to check on their watermelon patch. Dinner was prepared by Vesper.
He had been thinking about it all day, especially seeing how beautiful 2/3 13:07 Wed, Jan 21 Chapter 243 Sticky Fingers and Sweet Moments 5 +10 Free Coins Ardenia looked today. The thought of the surprise he had planned made his lips curl into a smile. After returning from Deria's house, Ardenia saw that the kitchen was already bustling. The afternoon meal had been plentiful; the evening meal would be more casual. Not too casual-seafood stew. Everything essential was included. The lunch crowd had been lively, but by evening only a few remained.
Colin watched the seafood for a long moment before easing himself off Ardenia's wrist. Niall snorted, but Halden's sharp glance stopped him from saying anything. 3/3 13:07 Wed, Jan 21 45 Liam Prescott
