Chapter 218 Chapter 218 Since the next day was the weekend, Klein really let loose last night. Their wild night together left Whitney feeling like her whole body had turned to jelly when she woke up. "Baby, just sleep a little longer," Klein said softly. Whitney shot him a glare. "Sleep? With Dad around, you think I can just sleep till noon?" Whitney still had her sense of propriety. 054 Even if she managed to sneak in a quick nap at Harris Manor, she'd still make sure to be downstairs for breakfast on time.
Whitney glanced down at the trail of hickeys on her chest and felt the urge to curse all over again. Klein wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Sorry, baby, but I was careful. I even checked with the doctor. He said those positions were totally fine." Whitney turned around and shoved him away. "Who did you ask? The doctor?" she shot back. "Klein, don't tell me you seriously asked Dustin about this!" Whitney blurted out. If he really did, she'd seriously die of embarrassment. Just imagining it made her cringe. How was she supposed to face her own nephew-in-law after that? "No way.
Why would I ever ask him?" Klein replied. Whitney let out a sigh of relief. Klein caught her soft hand and kissed it gently. "I have to go to the office today. I'll be back by five. Just stay home and get some rest, okay?" "Wait for me," he added softly. Whitney pulled her hand back. "Just go already." 'Finally, some peace and quiet for me, Whitney thought to herself once he left. Klein glanced at the time. He was running late already. Besides the board meeting, he also had several executive meetings scheduled for the day.
He picked up the new shoes Whitney had gotten him and headed downstairs. He paused to admire them for a moment. They looked really sharp. But then again, he could make anything look good. Ryan spotted Klein's new shoes the moment he walked in. "Mr. Harris, did Mrs. Harris get you those new shoes?" Ryan asked with a grin. Klein raised his eyebrows and asked, "How do you know?" "Mrs. Harris asked me for your shoe size yesterday, so I figured she was probably planning to get you something." Ryan 16:54 Chapter 218 replied. "Not bad," Klein said. Klein gave Ryan a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Next time, he'd let Ryan know his clothing sizes, in case his wife wanted to gift him something again. Ryan felt relieved. 55 voucher As expected, the gift from Mrs. Harris worked. Throughout the day's meetings, a subtle smile lingered on Mr. Harris's face. ***** With Klein busy at work, Whitney was bored at home, and she remembered that thing Klein had interrupted last time. She fired up her computer. There were still twenty zones she hadn't tried yet. Finally, on the twentieth zone, the "Half-Life Romance" server, her account finally wasn't stuck at level 0 anymore.
She'd secretly spent the whole summer grinding dungeons, running quests, and hunting for those limited-time rewards and cool gear sets like she was possessed. It was her way of venting all that pent-up frustration. Whitney pulled up the partner list and spotted that familiar avatar, the man in the white outfit, still quietly sitting there. Turned out that man was Klein all along. Whitney still found it hard to believe. Klein had told her she was his first love. Back then, she was just seventeen, and he was twenty-four. He must've been very busy with work at twenty-four.

Whitney honestly couldn't even remember if she'd ever actually seen Klein when he was twenty-four. She snapped out of her thoughts when she noticed her inbox blowing up with tons of unread messages. She clicked it open. Her eyes widened in disbelief, her hand flying up to cover her mouth. Aside from a handful of system alerts, every single one of those messages was from Klein himself! [Sinny: Are you really never coming back to this account?] [Sinny: Guess you're not coming back. Mind if I turn this place into my diary?
If you don't reply, I'll just take that as a yes.] [Whitney, you got engaged to Carter today. I wish I could steal you away, but I know I can't. You've liked Carter since you were sixteen. Now that you've graduated at eighteen, you finally got your wish.] [Whitney, wouldn't it be great if you liked me instead?] [It's been snowing for a whole month abroad. But your smile still makes me feel warm inside.
I wonder if holding you make me feel even warmer.] [I heard you're spending the New Year with the Harris family this year?] would 16:54 Thu, Jan 1 Chapter 218 CIKA 054 55 vouchers [I'm back in town. Saw you all bundled up in that puffy coat, your nose red from the cold. Were you waiting for him? Whitney, you really have no sense of judgment. If you were waiting for me, I'd never let you stand out there in the cold.) [We brushed past each other today, but you didn't recognize me. I'm off now. Hope that boy treats you right.J [Whitney, I heard you two are about to get married.
I haven't had the courage to log in for ages, but today I just couldn't help myself and I had to check in on you one last time. Maybe this is the last time I'll ever talk to you here. Now that you're getting married, I can't bring you any trouble or gossip. From now on, you're my nephew's wife, and I'm just your uncle. One encounter, and you've left a permanent mark on my heart.] [Even if I didn't want to, I still hope you and him will be happily married ever after.] Whitney scrolled through every single message. From the very first one, she just couldn't stop crying.
'Why are you always so good to me, Klein?' Whitney thought, her heart twisting with emotion. That last message was from the summer of 2008, a whole year ago. There were 143 messages in total. Whitney couldn't even imagine what was going through Klein's heart every time he left her a message. 'How could I have missed someone like him for so long?' Whitney thought, regret flooding her chest. ***** Klein got home right on time. He sat down, took off his shoes, and carefully wiped them clean before putting them away in the shoe cabinet. The butler came over. "Mr.
Harris, let me take care of those for you." "No need. I've already cleaned them. These shoes, I'll handle them myself from now on," Klein replied. Klein took off his coat. "Where's Whitney?" "Mrs. Harris has been in the study all day and hasn't come out," the butler replied. Klein frowned. 'It's already five and she's still holed up in the study?' he thought. He walked over slowly and knocked on the door. "Baby, it's me. I'm home." Then he slowly turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. Whitney was sitting there, hugging her knees. He was not sure how long she'd been sitting like that.
She looked up at him with her tear-stained face, her voice choked with emotion. "Honey, you're back..." Klein tossed his coat to the floor and rushed over, kneeling down in front of her. "What's wrong? Are you feeling sick? Is it your stomach? Why are you crying? How long have you been hurting? Should I take you to the hospital?" Whitney grabbed his hand,s her eyes glistening with tears and her nose bright red. Seeing her like this, Klein felt a dull ache in his chest. He scooped her onto his lap, his fingers gently cupping her face as he carefully brushed away her tears. "Why are you crying?
Did you have a bad dream?" he asked softly. 'Maybe it's not her stomach... did she just remember something painful?' Klein wondered. 16:54 Thu, Jan 1 JJ M FIRA Chapter 218 054 65 voucher But when Klein's eyes landed on the computer screen in front of Whitney, he froze, his throat tightening. "You saw all of it?" Whitney nodded slowly. "Yeah, I saw everything." "Why didn't you ever tell me, honey? All those years we lost because you kept it to yourself," Whitney said, her voice trembling. Klein licked his dry lips, his long lashes casting shadows over his eyes.
"I've loved you for so long." "I was scared you'd think I was a total creep, so I never dared to say anything," he admitted. Whitney paused. "How early? When I was seventeen?" Klein smirked. "What if I told you it was even before that, baby?" Whitney's heart skipped a beat. 'Wait, even earlier? The first time we met was when I was thirteen, Whitney thought, her mind reeling. "You..." Whitney stammered, her voice trembling. "Are you scared of me?" Klein asked, his voice low and uncertain. Whitney hugged his arm even tighter, shaking her head softly. "No, I'm not scared.
If you're a little weirdo, then you're my little weirdo, because you only love me." "Then why didn't you tell me when I was seventeen?" Whitney pressed, her voice gentle but persistent. Klein pursed his lips. "You weren't even an adult yet." Whitney suddenly got it. "Klein, you really are such an old-fashioned guy!" Just thinking about how this deep, old-fashioned, calculating, narcissistic, shameless, and totally obsessed man had loved her, and only her, from beginning to end... Whitney's heart felt tight and sore, and she could feel tears welling up again.
Klein gently kissed the corner of her eye. "Hey, don't cry. I never meant for those words to make you cry, or to tug at your heart." "I never thought you'd ever find these. I just needed somewhere to talk to you, somewhere you'd never notice," he admitted. But even Klein hadn't expected her to end up finding it after all. Whitney wrapped her arms around him, snuggling into his neck and acting all sweet. "Klein, will you always treat me this well?" "I always will," Klein promised softly, His Comment > full b AD Send gift No Ads admin
