Chapter 202 Nausea Chapter 202 Nausea Whitney had no idea about this little episode. Klein was really pleased with the photo. He instantly set it as his lock screen and flaunted it in the group chat. He specifically told Dustin. [Go check the group chat.] Because Dustin had started muting group chat notifications just like Klein did. Klein wasn't about to miss a single chance to flaunt their relationship. He had to make sure everyone got their fair share of the couple sweetness, right? Dustin had only managed three hours of sleep last night.

In the middle of the night, Lena was hit with stomach cramps. Dustin called the doctor, but the answer was the same as always. The doctor said that it was perfectly normal, just part of the process. The third trimester was brutal, and Dustin honestly wished he could take it all on himself instead of watching his wife suffer. Every pregnancy was different, and every woman's experience was their own. But Lena's body just wasn't built to handle it. She was one of those with a particularly sensitive constitution.

Dustin yawned, about to catch a quick nap on the couch when he saw Klein's message pop up. [Klein, what group chat are you talking about? Let me sleep first. I'll check it when I wake up.] [You have to check it right now! Seriously! If you don't, don't blame me if you end up with a son instead of a daughter!] 'Damn, Dustin muttered, annoyed. His wife was due next week, and Klein was actually trying to jinx him into having a son. That pissed him off. But Dustin was damn scared of anything superstitious. As soon as he opened the group chat, he wished he'd gone blind for a second.

[Dustin: ...] [Eric: ...] [Oliver has left the group.] Klein sneered under his breath. [Who pulled Oliver into the group? He's too sensitive. How will he ever manage to win his wife over?] If Oliver saw that, he'd totally roast Klein for it. Feeling smug, Klein closed the group chat. Time to go be all lovey-dovey with his wife. But that girl Valerie just kept clinging to his wife, never giving Whitney a break. 44444 "Too bad you missed the meteor shower last night, Whitney," Valerie said, "We all made wishes, you know!" Whitney smiled.

"So, what did you wish for?" "I wished I could find someone who treats me as well as your husband treats you. And if he's got some cash, even better!" "I made a wish too. I hope my salary doubles next year, so I can finally keep up with you, Whitney!" one of the girls laughed. "Me too. I wished my mom could make a full recovery," another chimed in. Whitney's lips curled into a gentle smile. Each wish was stamped with their own hopes and dreams, yet somehow everyone was longing for a better tomorrow.

"If I were to make a wish, I'd hope for a healthy little angel of my own," Whitney murmured softly. "Whitney, what did you just say?" Valerie turned to ask. Whitney shook her head. "It's nothing." ***** Successfully unlocked! Lunch was a DIY BBQ for everyone. The handy types all jumped in to handle the grilling. 1/3 Chapter 202 Nausea Whitney, though, just kicked back and relaxed. Not that she was trying to slack off, but there were just so many people crowding around the grill, and it was way too packed to squeeze in.

Valerie picked up a batch of freshly grilled food and handed them out to everyone. "Whit, you love fish, right? Here, this fish is for you," Valerie said, passing it over. Whitney took it with a bright smile and said, "Thanks." She picked up the fish with her fork. Even though it was just the usual aroma, she suddenly felt her stomach turn. The nausea hit her so hard that she couldn't hold it back. She quickly handed the fish back to Valerie and rushed off to the bathroom, covering her mouth. She retched.

She dry heaved over the sink for a good five minutes, eyes red and watery, her stomach clenching over and over, leaving her feeling absolutely miserable. Valerie hurried in a few minutes later and asked, "Whitney, what's wrong? Don't scare me! Is it that stomach bug?" Whitney's cheeks were burning, her lashes still wet with tears. "It's nothing, probably just my stomach being weird," she mumbled. But before Whitney could even finish her sentence, she was hit with another wave of nausea and started dry heaving again. Valerie saw things were getting serious.

She quickly patted Whitney's shoulder, worry all over her face. "Just hold on, Whit. Let me find someone to help. I'm pretty sure someone brought a med kit. I'll get you something for your stomach!" Klein was wandering around, looking through the crowd. But no matter how hard he looked, Whitney was nowhere to be seen. Then Valerie came running over, totally freaking out. "Who's got stomach meds? Larry, hurry up and give me your med kit! Whitney's in the ladies' room, throwing up like crazy. She must have a stomach bug!" The moment Klein heard that, he completely lost it.

He didn't care one bit about barging into the ladies' room. He rushed straight in. Whitney finally started to feel a bit better and splashed some cold water on her face. "Baby, what happened? Is your stomach acting up?" Klein asked, his voice tight with worry. Whitney had barely calmed down and was still too drained to even respond. Klein, panicking, assumed she was still feeling awful. He didn't hesitate, and just swept her up in his arms, bridal style. "I'm taking you down the mountain to see a doctor!" he said, not taking no for an answer.

Valerie came rushing over with the stomach meds, but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Mr. Harris holding Whitney bridal style in his arms, her very own coworker. Her jaw dropped. She gave herself a pat on the face, totally stunned. "Am I dreaming? Did I just see Mr. Harris rushing away with Whitney in his arms?" Frank, standing nearby, pinched himself too. "Nope, not dreaming. I saw it too. I even pinched myself, and it hurt." The two of them exchanged a look, both thinking, 'When did Whitney start hooking up with Mr. Harris?' ***** Valerie wasn't the only one who saw it.

A bunch of Harris Group employees witnessed the whole scene. A wave of gossip swept through, and everyone sitting together just couldn't stay calm anymore. Valerie gave Ivan a look, but found him calm as ever. "Boss, are you hiding something from us?" Ivan was busy texting Klein. "Just eat your food and watch what you say." 'Watch what we say, huh? Sure thing, Valerie thought, not buying it for a second. Valerie could sense some major tea was about to spill, and just thinking about it had her buzzing with excitement.

'No way, my bestie at work is seriously winning at life!' Valerie thought, totally amazed. "Stop, let me down," Whitney said, giving Klein's chest a gentle tap. Being bounced around like this was making her want to puke all over again. 2/3 Chapter 202 Nausea "Don't be scared. I'm here. We're heading straight to the hospital," Klein said, his voice firm and protective. Whitney grabbed his collar, her voice trembling a little. "You silly, I don't think it's just a stomach bug." Klein froze, his face full of worry. "Wait, then what is it?

You look like you're about to pass out from all that puking." Whitney's eyes sparkled with a complicated light. "Klein, my period is twenty days late." Klein's mind went blank in shock. "Wait, you mean..." Klein stammered. "Yeah, put me down and order a few pregnancy tests to be delivered," Whitney said. 3/3 Subscribed 4 Likes admin
