Chapter 205 They're My Babies Chapter 205 They're My Babies During Lena's postpartum recovery, Whitney dropped by again. She watched Emma waving her tiny hands and feet, babbling away, and couldn't get over how adorable she was. Right then, Whitney's longing to have a daughter hit an all-time high. Klein didn't come this time. He knew Lena was still recovering after giving birth, and it'd be awkward for a man to drop by.
But he just had to ask Whitney, "Take lots of photos of the baby so I can see her." Sitting in his office, Klein stared at the photos of the yawning little cutie and thought to himself, 'Why is Dustin so darnn lucky?' When Whitney showed up, Dustin was home too. He was totally in full-on stay-at-home dad mode, changing diapers and feeding the baby like it was second nature to him. Lena didn't have much milk, so the baby started on formula pretty early. Dustin was a doctor, so he didn't buy into all that old-school stuff about babies needing breast milk or moms having to give birth naturally.
And with a mother-in-law from a wealthy family, there was no way she'd make things hard for Lena. mor Dustin's mom absolutely adored her daughter-in-law. mom was the envy of all those rich ladies, just because she was the first among them to become a grandma. Now, Dus "Lena, just focus warm smile. on resting. Let Dustin and the maids handle everything. Don't you lift a finger," Dustin's mom said with a "You know, this postpartum recovery period is very important for women.
If you want to make a better recovery, just take two months off to recover." Lena was really grateful for her mother-in-law's understanding. For now, all those typical mother-in-law and daughter-in-law dramas just didn't seem to exist in her life. Dustin's parents and his grandpa absolutely spoiled her rotten. And Dustin? He was the absolute best, and no one could spoil her more. Lena often found herself thinking, 'How did I just stumble into finding the most dependable man ever?' Seeing all this, Whitney couldn't help but feel happy for Lena.
"Lena, your husband's been way more quiet lately," Whitney teased. Lena had noticed it too. Dustin was still handling everything like a pro, but she could totally tell he was more quiet than usual. 'Especially when he's with me, Lena thought. But he was still just as caring and thoughtful as ever. "Maybe he's just exhausted from all the baby stuff," Lena said. Whitney watched Dustin expertly changing the baby's diaper and gave a little nod, She chuckled, 'Yeah, probably. Suddenly, an image popped into Whitney's mind about Klein changing a diaper.
'Would he really do it with that cold, handsome face of his?' Whithey thought. She couldn't help bursting out laughing. Hearing her laughter, Dustin, who was across the room, and Lena, sitting on the bed, both shot her a puzzled look. Whitney shook her head and said, "It's nothing, really. Just had a funny thought pop into my head." Whitney didn't stay long because she didn't want to keep the new parents from getting their rest. After Whitney left, Lena thought for a moment and pastelove teen so quiet lately. Is the baby tiring you out?" Successfully unlocked!

She actually wanted to say, 'If you're too tired, just rendus te/wir But when she said it out loud, it came off kind of stiff and almost reproachful. 1/3 Chapter 205 They're My Babies Dustin pursed his lips tightly and said, "No. Just focus on getting better and stop overthinking." That night, Whitney showed Klein a video Lena had sent her of her adrobale daughter Emma. "Klein, do you think our baby will be a girl?" Whitney asked, her eyes full of hope. Klein gently placed his hand on her belly. She was barely two months along, so her belly was still flat.
To be honest, it still hadn't really sunk in for Klein that he was going to be a dad. "Let me see if I can hear anything," Klein said softly. Whitney laughed, shaking her head. "Seriously? You think you'll hear something this early? You've got to wait at least three months, you know." "I'm not doing anything, just listening," Klein replied, his voice gentle. Klein carefully rested his head on Whitney's belly, putting his ear to her belly botton. He stayed like that for ten whole minutes before finally sitting up. "Hmm, it's a girl," Klein announced, keeping a straight face.
Whitney just looked at him, confused. Klein insisted, "It's definitely a girl. She told me herself." Whitney rolled over, turning her back to him, just speechless. Klein pulled her gently so she was lying flat, and then whispered in her ear, "Honey, whether it's a girl or a boy, I'll love them all the same." "As long as they're born with you, they're my babies. You always comes first, and the kids come second." That word "kids" gave Whitney a strange feeling inside. ***** At the law firm, Valerie spotted Whitney, who had just returned after a week off, and couldn't help complaining.
"Girl, you really kept me guessing!" Valerie teased, her tone half playful, half accusing. Whitney flashed an apologetic smile and said, "My bad, Valerie." For starters, things with Klein had been pretty shaky in the beginning, and Whitney honestly wasn't sure how far they'd go, or if they'd even make it at all. Besides, she really didn't want to be the center of attention right now. She still wasn't used to all those curious or jealous stares from people around her. "If you don't treat us to a meal today, there's no way I'm forgiving you," Valerie pouted, half-joking, half-serious.
"Fine, you pick the place!" Whitney surrendered with a laugh. Valerie was really picky about where to eat. There was a whole row of restaurants and cafes right below their office building, so they had tons of options. She finally picked a new hot wing spot, but suddenly remembered that Whitney was pregnant now. Whitney's pregnancy wasn't exactly a secret. "Whitney, can you still eat spicy food now?" Valerie asked, suddenly remembering. Whitney said after a pause, "The doctor didn't say I couldn't. I'll just go for the non-spicy ones." "Sounds good!" Valerie chimed in without missing a beat.
She was instantly on board. But at noon, Klein texted her, asking what she was having for lunch. The driver had come by her office, but couldn't find her anywhere, so he ended up making the trip for nothing. He had to just take the insulated lunchbox back to the car, unused. That was when Whitney suddenly remembered Klein had arranged for the house chef to cook lunch and the driver to deliver her lunch every day. Whitney Moore [Honey, I'm out having lunch with my colleague. Tell Marco to head back.] Whitney texted him. [What are you having?] Klein texted back.
The spicy, savory aroma of the freshly made chicken wings hit her nose, making her mouth water. [Oh, just some regular 2/3 Chapter 205 They're My Babies food at a restaurant nearby.] Whitney replied, brushing it off. Whitney told a little white lie. She was worried Klein might not approve, so she just glossed over it for now. Whitney only ate non-spicy ones the whole time. After that meal, Whitney couldn't stop thinking about hot wings. She was already tempted to have it again for dinner.
When she got home and sat down at the table, she saw the chef had whipped up a whole spread just for her as a mom-to- Whitney burped contentedly. "Not hungry right now. I'll come back for it later." James and Klein both frowned. "How come you're not hungry? Didn't you have lunch at twelve?" It was already six-thirty. She should be hungry by now. Even if she was not hungry, her baby must be. "Be good, eat a little something," James urged. Whitney stared at the soup Klein had set before her, Out of nowhere, a wave of nausea washed over her.
She tried to fight it, took a spoonful, but just couldn't hold it in. She rushed to the bathroom and ended up throwing up. Klein frowned and immediately followed after her. Whitney washed up, her face a little pale. "What's wrong? Is the soup making you feel sick?" Klein asked, concern in his voice. Whitney made a face. "Honey, I just want hot wings. I really don't want this." Klein just stared, speechless. 'Are hot wings even safe for her as a pregnant woman?' Klein wondered. Subscribed 4 Likes admin
