Chapter 112 Just as Whitney was about to clock out, Klein suddenly texted her, saying he'd pick her up for a dinner party that night. Whitney usually said yes to these kinds of dinner parties. It was a win-win for both of them. She'd help him handle his friends, and Klein would use the chance to let her clap back at anyone who tried to mess with her. They had worked together so well that they barely needed to say a word to each other. But when Klein's car stopped at the entrance to a music festival, Whitney couldn't believe her eyes.
Whitney blinked and asked, "Weren't we supposed to go to a dinner party tonight?" Klein grinned as he unbuckled her seatbelt and waved two tickets. "Caught you trying to grab tickets for this festival on your phone the other day. Turns out the organizer's a friend of mine, so I got us two tickets." he said. Whitney had tried to get tickets, but her fingers just weren't quick enough. The moment the tickets dropped, they were gone. Usually, music festival tickets weren't that hard to score, but this one was set right on the beach and had a famous band headlining.
So of course, they sold out in a heartbeat. Whitney was buzzing with excitement, but she couldn't help giving Klein a once-over and chuckling. "Wearing a suit to a music festival? You must be the only one here dressed like that." Klein just raised his eyebrows, unfazed by her teasing. "Is that not allowed?" he said. "Yes," Whitney said with a laugh. Once they got to the festival, Whitney was practically buzzing with energy. She grabbed Klein's hand and dragged him to the perfect spot, and then started swaying to the opening music.
Klein stood there with his hands in his pockets, looking totally calm and out of place in the sea of festival- goers. People nearby started whispering and sneaking glances their way. "Hey, check out that guy in the suit over there. Is he gonna propose to his girlfriend or what?" "Looks like it, right? I mean, who wears a suit to a music festival? And look at him, hands in his pockets. I bet he's just waiting to whip out a ring." "But seriously, they're such a gorgeous couple!

Bet the cameras are gonna zoom in on them!" "Come on, do we really need a proposal at my favorite band's music festival? Does he have to steal the spotlight like that?" People kept whispering, some hyped, some jealous, some just plain annoyed. But Klein didn't even bat an eye. Whitney caught all the gossip too. When the lead singer started interacting with the crowd during the break, she was sweating bullets. 'Please, no cheesy proposal!' Whitney kept repeating in her head. She was praying. But this time, it seemed like God was actually listening to her.
As the closing music played, Whitney felt both exhausted and totally satisfied. She snuck a look at Klein, who'd been quiet and stone-faced all night, just standing there beside her through the whole show. The sight made her want to laugh. "Come on, Klein, it's over. Thanks for putting up with all this tonight. I bet this is your first time at something like this, right?" Whitney said. Klein said with a smile, "You're welcome.
As long as you enjoyed it, that's all that matters." As the crowd was streaming toward the exit, someone suddenly shouted, "Wow, look up!" Up in the sky above the beach, countless lights shot up from the horizon, streaking across the night like a meteor shower. Then, in an instant, the lights scattered and regrouped, shaping themselves into a ring box. "It's a ring! It's a ring box opening up!" someone yelled. Whitney gaped, stunned. "Is that a drone show?" she wondered. "Yeah," Klein nodded. Klein murmured his reply.
Whitney didn't catch it and asked, "Sorry, what did you say, Klein?" "I said yeah, it's a drone show," Klein repeated. They stood at the edge of the crowd, everyone else completely mesmerized by the drone show overhead. No one noticed when Klein quietly fished out the ring he'd been hiding all night. He dropped to one knee and slipped the sparkling ring onto her finger. "Will you marry me?" he said. Klein's voice was a little rough, but full of tenderness, like the softest whisper between lovers.
Whitney felt the cool metal on her ring finger and looked down, stunned, only to see Klein's handsome and refined face, his eyes sparkling with hope. His eyes never left hers, as if the whole world had faded away and he was just waiting for her reply. "Wow, who's Whitney Moore?" someone shouted. Up in the sky, her name lit up, formed by countless stars. "Whitney Moore, will you marry me?" the words echoed through the crowd. Whitney felt her nose start to sting, and she couldn't quite read the tenderness in Klein's eyes. 'Wait, didn't we already get married?
Why is he making such a big deal out of this?' she wondered. "Klein, you..." Whitney stammered, her words caught between surprise and emotion. Klein clasped her hand with unwavering patience, his eyes gentle as he asked again, "Whitney Moore, will you marry me?" Whitney's heart skipped a beat. Honestly, even the coldest heart would melt in front of a man this tender. For the first time, Whitney let her guard down and said, "Yes, I do." "I do," she replied, her voice steady and full of emotion.
As soon as she said it, the stars above burst into a rain of heart-shaped lights, their long tails swirling around with her name glowing at the very center. Then, the diamond in the ring box floated out and gently slipped onto her waiting ring finger. "Thank you, Whitney," Klein murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her ring finger. 'If loving you is like tending a garden, I'd make you radiant as the moon and dazzling as the stars.' he thought.
