Chapter 113 The hashtag [Ravorport's Golden Boy Proposes to Whitney Moore] went viral online. The comments ranged from salty takes to envy, and even lack of care. [Who on earth are you, Whitney Moore? Can you just let me swap lives with you for a couple of days and see what it's like to be you?] [Whitney Moore, good for you! You're really dating a handsome man!] [Doesn't anyone think this is way too much? Why not just keep it simple and propose at home? Such a waste!] [They're loaded, okay? Why are you so salty?] [Damn! So we really are just background characters in this world.
Congrats, Whitney!] Carter watched that video blow up online, and then saw Klein posting all that lovey-dovey stuff in his feed. He clenched his glass so hard it shattered. 'Seriously? Does he have to rub it in my face like this?' Carter fumed. 'Uncle Klein didn't give a damn about my pride. First, he humiliated me right at my wedding, and now he's putting me on blast for everyone online. Is he trying to make me a joke to the whole world?' Carter thought bitterly. Emily, dressed in a lace nightgown, walked into the study and saw Carter's palm smeared with blood.
She was desperate to fix things with Carter. If she lost his heart, she'd be in real trouble in the Harris family. She grabbed his hand, worry written all over her face. "Carter, what happened to your hand?" she asked. "It's nothing," Carter muttered as he tried to pull his hand away. But Emily wasn't about to let this chance to win him over slip by. She rushed to grab the first aid kit and gently bandaged his hand, her warm breath tickling his skin, making his gaze flicker. "Carter, I know things have been rough lately and you're upset.
But honestly, my feelings for you haven't changed one bit," Emily said, her voice trembling. Emily's eyes were red and teary, and she was half-kneeling in front of him. Seeing her like this, Carter found his annoyance replaced by a rare sense of relief. "So, Emily, you really like me that much?" Carter asked, his voice low. "I do," Emily whispered, ducking her head, blushing. "I really do! Carter, I love you so much!" Carter's eyes darkened, a mix of jealousy and frustration surging inside him. He needed someone, anyone, to help him vent all the pent-up emotions clawing at his chest.
Without another word, he swept Emily up bridal style and strode straight to the bedroom. "Alright," he murmured, his voice husky. "As you wish." ***** At the villa's entrance, Klein pressed Whitney against the door, kissing her deeply and passionately. Whitney couldn't move. But it still wasn't enough for him. His warm lips traced slowly down her jaw, lingering with teasing intimacy. Their breaths tangled together, and Whitney's fingertips trembled from the sensation. Whitney tried to push him away.
But before her hands could reach his chest, Klein seized her wrists and pinned them above her head, his grip fierce and dominant. His strong fingers threaded through hers, locking their hands together, the two rings clinking softly as they intertwined. Whitney could only passively accept everything, letting him do as he pleased. They were legally married now, and that dramatic proposal had left her senses numb. 'Weren't we supposed to wait until after the wedding? Is he really not going to wait?' Whitney thought, her heart pounding.

"Klein..." Whitney murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. Klein lifted her up with one hand, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. His other hand cupped the back of her head as he deepened the kiss, claiming her with every touch. He kissed her as he walked, driving her wild with every step, making her heart race uncontrollably. At the edge of the bed, he gently laid her down, bracing himself on either side of her. His breath trailed hot against her chin, cheeks, neck, and all the way down to her collarbone, leaving her shiver.
The tension was so thick that there was no turning back now. He ripped away his gentlemanly mask, exposing the undeniable, possessive hunger that had been hiding underneath. Whitney's mind was completely blank from his kisses, and all she could think was, 'He's on fire.' She was totally dazed. His passion was so intense that she felt herself getting overwhelmed. Just when Whitney was swept up in the heat of the moment, Klein suddenly put everything on pause.
Klein let go of her, his voice rough and raspy, "Sorry if I scared you." Whitney stared blankly at the ceiling, her mind reeling and a little breathless. "...It's fine." she said. Klein yanked off his tic, got off the bed, and didn't dare glance back at her. "Get some rest," he said. Whitney's gaze was unfocused, her lashes fluttering. "Where are you going?" she asked. "Back to my room. Gonna take a shower and get some sleep," Klein replied, his voice still rough. He strode out of the master bedroom so fast that Whitney barely had time to react. 'Wait, that's it?' Whitney thought, confused.
[Lena, has your Uncle Klein ever had any... well, issues down there?] Whitney texted, her curiosity getting the best of her. Lena had been replaying Klein's proposal video over and over, totally fangirling, when she suddenly got a text from Whitney herself. She was practically bouncing with excitement. She'd been dying to get the scoop, but after that perfect proposal night, she figured she shouldn't bother the couple. [Whit, you're still up? You still have the strength to text me after all that? Klein's proposal video was wild. I was shipping you two so hard from my screen!
How are you feeling right now?] [...Lena, don't overthink it. Klein just went off to sleep in the guest room.] [Wait, the guest room?? Whit, you can't be serious!] Whitney bit her lips, feeling just as lost. 'Honestly, it really seems like Klein likes me.' 'He never hesitates to stand up for me in front of the Harris family. 'Someone who's always so aloof and proud actually went all out with that proposal just to win me over.' 'And he's always pulling me in for kisses, acting all possessive like he can't get enough. 'But if he's really into me, why does he always hold back so much?
Sometimes he's so restrained that I can't help but wonder. Maybe he's not... capable in bed?' Klein was just ridiculously perfect. 'Seriously, how did I get so lucky to snag a man like him?' Whitney thought, still in disbelief. After she thought it through, she unsent her first message to Lena. [Lena, don't worry about it. Just get some sleep. It's getting late.] [Hey, are you okay? Whit, why are you dodging my questions? You and Uncle Klein already got married. Are you two really sleeping in separate rooms?] Whitney didn't even bother to check Lena's messages.
She just locked her screen and tuned it all out. 'Even if Klein's got some issues, it's really not a big deal. As long as he keeps treating me like this, that's totally fine by me,' Whitney thought. She'd always show him real respect, just like she would to someone senior in her own family, never judging or looking down on him for it. Klein stepped out of the bathroom, water still clinging to his skin, looking way more relaxed now after taking care of himself. His bathrobe hung loosely around him, and the heat from earlier had totally faded from his gaze.
His phone was buzzing on the coffee table. He'd kept it switched off all night and just powered it up. "Dad." Klein said simply. "Well, look who finally picked up. Do you have any idea how many times I called? Did you not see all my calls?" James grumbled. Klein said with a chuckle, "I just turned my phone on. I wasn't ignoring you on purpose." "Okay. I haven't even grilled you about this yet. When I dropped by today, I caught you crashing in the guest room. What's that about?" James asked.
Klein said with a frown, "Dad, why are you just walking into other people's rooms like that?" "I didn't walk in! Your door was wide open and I just saw it! What, you addicted to acting all proper now? Planning to never give me grandkids or what?" James shot back. "Why are you so anxious? You'll get your grandkids after the wedding," Klein said, sounding laid-back. "Then get a move on!" James shot back, not hiding his impatience. "Alright, I'll set up a dinner with you and Whit's dad in a few days so we can lock things in. And Dad, you still owe Whit a bridal gift.
Don't go cheap on her!" Klein joked. James was speechless. 'Brat! When have I ever been stingy?' James thought, annoyed. "Alright, that's it, I'm hanging up. If I talk to you any longer, my blood pressure's gonna go through the roof!" James huffed.
