Chapter 461 Chapter 462 Chapter 462 At five in the afternoon, Troy took Zane for one last round of bumper cars. 55 vouchers After they got out, Troy crouched down in front of Zane and coaxed softly, "It's time to go visit Teresa as guests." Zane was still a little reluctant to leave, but since Troy was making such an effort to cheer him up, he finally agreed. "Okay, I miss Teresa anyway." Missing Teresa was truly what Zane felt deep down. Once Zane agreed, Troy took his hand and swung by the supermarket. They grabbed some gifts, fruits, and toys, and then headed to the Sullivan Mansion.
By the time they got to the Sullivan Mansion, night had already fallen. The streetlights glowed, and outside, the snow kept coming down, thick and heavy, like a blanket of cotton piling up. Zane stood by the curb, wearing his little gloves and hat, waiting for Troy to get the things from the car. Troy brought out some fruit, and Zane reached out to take it. "Godfather, let me carry it." At Zane's words, Troy handed him the fruit and said gently, "If it gets too heavy, just let me know. I'll take it." Zane grinned.
"Don't worry, I'm a tough guy-I can totally handle this." Troy looked at him with a proud smile. "Zane, you're such a good kid. But with your dad and me around, you don't have to hold back-just be yourself." Zane shook his head and smiled. "I'm fine the way I am, Godfather. You really don't need to worry about me." Even though Troy felt comforted, he still couldn't help but worry. Zane's mother had complications during childbirth, so Peyton ended up raising him from the start. Other than Peyton, it was Troy and Leo who looked after him.
Kids who grow up without a mother's love often end up with a few quirks. You wouldn't really notice just by looking at him, but Troy and the others all knew Zane was always holding himself back. Seeing Zane act so grown-up, Troy felt a mix of pride and heartache. He just kept quiet, reached out and affectionately ruffled Zane's hair. "Good boy, Zane. No matter what happens, your dad and I will always be your strongest support." Zane hugged the fruit and grinned.
"Thanks, Godfather." Troy said softly, "Alright, let's go inside." Carrying all the gifts they'd brought, Troy and Zane walked into the Sullivan Mansion. In the yard, Troy caught sight of Theodore, Yvonne, and Monica together as a family. Monica was having a blast in the snow, while Theodore and Yvonne stood together nearby, holding hands under a single umbrella, watching Monica with gentle, loving eyes. Maybe they were just too caught up in the moment, because neither Theodore nor Yvonne even noticed Troy and Zane had arrived.

Monica was halfway through building her snowman when she turned to Yvonne and Theodore. "Mom, Dad, check out the snowman I made..." But before she could finish, Monica suddenly paused, her gaze shifting past Yvonne and Theodore, landing on something behind them. "Zane?" Monica called out, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Hearing Monica's confused voice, Theodore and Yvonne instinctively turned around. When they saw Troy and Zane, both of them froze for a moment. The next moment, Yvonne was the first to react. She flashed a bright smile, but her voice was tinged with confusion. "Mr.
Hamilton, why did you come back by yourself? Where's Teresa?" At that, Troy's brows furrowed. "Yvonne, Teresa isn't back yet?" Yvonne sounded genuinely surprised. "Wasn't she with you?" Troy started to get a little anxious. "No, she said she wanted to look around on her own, so I agreed. She even invited me and Zane over to visit." Yvonne's expression grew even more serious. "But she still hasn't come back, and she hasn't called home either. We thought she was with you, so we didn't really check in." Troy felt a chill run down his spine as a wave of dread hit him.
He didn't even bother taking the gifts inside- he just set them down in the snow. At the same time, he immediately pulled out his phone and called Teresa. The call went through, but no one picked up. When the first call rang out with no answer, Troy called her again right away. When she still didn't pick up, Troy didn't hesitate-he called Frank right away. Frank answered almost instantly, his voice rough. "Mr. Hamilton, what's up?" Troy didn't have time to explain. He just gave the order, "Help me find Teresa.
She's missing." Frank replied, "Got it, I'll get on it right away." After hanging up, Troy turned to Theodore and Yvonne. "Theodore, Yvonne, I'm going to look for Teresa. If she comes back, let me know right away." Yvonne was visibly uneasy. She wanted to ask for more details, but seeing how frantic Troy was, she could tell something was really wrong. Theodore saw the worry on Troy's face and couldn't help but get anxious himself. "Count me in. I'll help you look for her." Troy couldn't refuse, so he just nodded. "Alright." Then he turned to Yvonne. "Yvonne, this is Zane-he's my friend's kid.
Can you keep an eye on him for me?" Yvonne almost blurted out that she wanted to help look for Teresa, but after thinking it over, she realized Troy had a point. Right now, the two kids still needed someone to look after them. Yvonne just sighed helplessly and said, "Mr. Hamilton, if you hear anything about Teresa, please let me know right away." Troy nodded, then turned to Zane. "I'll come pick you up later, okay? Be good while I'm gone." Zane gave a sweet, well-behaved nod and said, "Okay." After Troy finished giving instructions, he spun around and strode out of the Sullivan Mansion.
Just as he reached the front gate, he almost bumped straight into Charles, who was just about to walk in. For a split second, their eyes locked-both men had that fierce, no-nonsense look in their gaze. Before Troy could even open his mouth, Charles cut in first. "Troy, what are you doing here?" Troy shot back, not in the mood for small talk. "I don't have time for this, Charles. Teresa's gone missing." Charles's face darkened, his brows furrowing tight. "What? I literally saw her this morning.
How could she just disappear?" When Charles said that, Troy instantly remembered Teresa mentioning she wanted to go out on her own earlier today. 'Is Charles mixed up in this somehow?' Troy couldn't help but wonder, suspicion flashing through his mind. But this was no time for questions. Troy just shot Charles a nasty glare and barked, "Move it, Charles. Don't block the way if you know what's good for you." For once, Charles didn't argue. He simply stepped aside and let Troy pass. After Troy and Theodore walked past, Charles pulled out his phone right away and called Liam.
Once Liam answered, Charles instructed, "Send people out to look for Mrs. Logan, and do it fast." Half an hour after giving the order, Charles got another call from Liam. "Mr. Logan, we've got a lead. Someone deliberately took Mrs. Logan. From the security footage, the car drove out toward the outskirts, but we're still working on pinpointing the exact location," Liam said. Charles got in his car and headed out to the suburbs, instructing Liam over the phone, "Keep investigating.
Call me as soon as you have any solid leads." Liam replied, "Got it." After hanging up, Charles focused on driving. But before long, his phone started ringing again. This time, when he checked the caller ID, it wasn't Liam-it was Ava Yates.
