Chapter 448 Chapter 449 Chapter 449 After Teresa fell asleep for the second time, her sleep was still light. The slightest sound from the window jolted her awake. She opened her eyes, her body drenched in sweat. 55 vouchers She sat up, her dark eyes staring into the thick darkness ahead. The room was so pitch black she couldn't see a thing. But instinctively, she turned her head toward the window. The wind howled outside, and the shadows of the trees danced wildly across the window, sending a chill down Teresa's spine. Almost immediately, another faint sound came from the window.
Teresa couldn't shake off her worry, even though she wasn't sure if it was Troy out there. She threw off the covers, tossed on a coat, and headed straight for the window. The moment she opened the window, the cold wind invaded every inch of her, swallowing her whole. She turned her head, but there was no sign of Troy. Feeling a wave of disappointment, Teresa thought, 'Maybe I was just overthinking it again.' Troy had said he wouldn't come to her until he'd sorted everything out. Besides, it was already so late. There was no way he'd show up now.
With that thought, Teresa reached out to close the window. But just as Teresa was about to close the window, a bloodied hand suddenly reached in and grabbed the window frame. Teresa was startled, but she didn't make a sound. Almost instantly, she recovered and leaned out the window, peering outside. That's when she spotted Troy slumped next to the air conditioner, his back against the wall. He looked exhausted and drained, the usual spark in his eyes completely gone. Teresa felt a chill run down her spine.
She quickly reached out to help him in and asked, "Troy, can you make it inside?" Troy was slumped against the wall, his legs just hanging there, gasping for air. "Yeah, I can. Just let me rest for a second," he said, his voice rough. He'd hauled his injured self all the way up to the second floor, just to see Teresa. After all that, he was completely wiped out. It was freezing outside, but Troy was drenched in cold sweat. At this point, he couldn't even tell anymore if it was sweat or blood soaking his clothes. Teresa was filled with worry. "Wait here, I'll go get Jason," she said.
As soon as she turned to leave the bedroom, Troy suddenly grabbed her hand. "Teresa, I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I just want you to stay with me," he said softly. Teresa couldn't help but worry. "But... but you're bleeding so much," she said, her voice trembling. Even with the cold wind biting at him, Troy managed a smile. "I know what I'm doing. I'll be fine," he said gently. He loved Teresa too much to ever let himself die. Now that he was tied to her, whatever he did, Teresa was always the first person he thought of. Seeing him like that, Teresa finally felt herself relax a little.
She kept watch by the window, staying with him. After about half a minute, Troy saw her cheeks flushed from the cold wind. He finally smiled and said, "Alright, I'm coming in." Teresa stepped aside without protest, but she still couldn't hide her worry. "Be careful," she murmured. As she spoke, she kept her hand out, ready to catch him if he stumbled. When Troy got to the window, Teresa could smell blood all over him. Her medical instincts went on high alert. Troy was about to climb in through the window, but Teresa, still worried, dragged a stool over for him.

As soon as he stepped down, he ended up leaning heavily against Teresa. Normally, Troy would have held himself together. He'd never let himself, all battered and bloody, get anywhere near someone as clean as Teresa. But tonight, he just didn't have the strength to keep himself together. He collapsed against Teresa, careful not to put all his weight on her. He gently pulled her into his arms, his voice brimming with joy, "Babe, I missed you," he murmured. Teresa wasn't sure if she should hug him back or just help him stay upright.
So her hands just hung awkwardly in the air, frozen in indecision. Chapter 449 "Show me where you're hurt. Let me check it out for you," Teresa said, concern in her voice. Troy quietly stepped back and shuffled over to Teresa's bed. 55 vouchers Looking at the soft, light blue sheets, he just wanted to sink into them, to leave his scent on everything that was hers. But he was a mess, covered in blood and sweat, so he held himself back. Seeing him just standing there by the bed, Teresa walked over and said, "Lie down." Troy turned his face to her, a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.
"Is it really okay if I lie down?" Teresa steadied him. "Why are you even asking? Your life matters more than anything right now." Hearing that, Troy didn't hesitate. He lay down, and the pale blue sheets were instantly stained with his blood. Teresa leaned over, carefully unbuttoning his shirt, trying to find where he was hurt so she could stop the bleeding as soon as possible. With Teresa here, Troy felt an unexpected sense of peace. He turned to look at her, his voice buzzing with emotion. "Last time, you didn't save me. But this time, I only want you to be the one who saves me.
If fate's real, I only want it to tie me to you..." "1 He kept talking, and Teresa heard every word, but she didn't say anything back. Seeing her stay silent, Troy didn't get upset. He just kept mumbling, "Guess that makes me yours now." Teresa paused, her hands stilling for a moment. When she looked at him, he shamelessly added, "Unless you want me dead, you're stuck with me." Even if it were a total stranger lying here, Teresa thought, she'd still do everything she could to save them. But Troy always knew exactly how to get to her.
After Teresa unbuttoned Troy's shirt, she found the most serious wound-a deep stab, like he'd been jabbed by something sharp, right in his stomach area. Aside from that, the rest were just bruises and scrapes. Teresa could easily tell Troy had gotten into a fight with someone. Still, she didn't bother asking about the details. There was plenty of stuff in the room to stop the bleeding and disinfect the wounds, so she carefully started treating Troy's injuries. When she finished patching him up and looked up, Teresa saw that Troy had his eyes shut.
She panicked for a second, and her doctor's instincts kicked in-she quickly held her hand under his nose to check if he was still breathing. Feeling the faint breath, she breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, but as she did, tears welled up and spilled down her cheeks. Seeing Troy finally asleep, Teresa didn't have the heart to wake him up. She just grabbed a pair of scissors and went ahead, cutting off his dirty clothes. With his shirt gone, his toned waist was exposed, and his pants were completely soaked. Teresa hesitated for a second, then just went for it and cut off his pants too.
His underwear was wet as well, but Teresa just couldn't do it-she left those alone. After wiping him down as best she could, Teresa covered him up with her own soft, light blue blanket. Troy was out cold-no matter how Teresa tried to move him or clean him up, he didn't stir. If she couldn't see him breathing, Teresa would've thought he was gone for good. With Troy finally asleep, Teresa slumped at the bedside and checked her phone. That's when she saw Jason and his family blowing up all over the trending topics.
[Gould family stocks tank, lost billions overnight.] [Gould Group's big project got snatched by competitors, all that early investment down the drain.] [Mr. Gould's scandal blows up online-rumored to have a college girl as his mistress.] [Jason's mother spotted sneaking out with a young guy late at night, rumors say she's lonely and looking to cheat.] But the real bombshell was the photo of Jason and Naomi locked in a passionate kiss, shooting straight to the top of the trending list. In the photo, Jason and Naomi were all over each other, making out like there was no tomorrow.
And it wasn't just photos-there was even a video. As soon as that trending topic hit, social media blew up. The news was everywhere, and a bunch of people got dragged into the chaos. Everyone online was gossiping and analyzing the tangled mess between Charles, Jason, and Naomi, with bloggers picking apart every detail of their relationships. Teresa was shocked out of her mind when she saw the news about Jason and Naomi all over each other. She shot a worried look at Troy, who was dead asleep, and deep down, she knew-he was the one pulling all these strings.
