Chapter 433 Chapter 434 Yolanda was so weak, her head was spinning. She couldn't even tell if the person in front of her was someone she liked or hated. Normally, Yolanda would never call Theodore "uncle," but tonight, she blurted it out, breaking her own rule. But Theodore remained completely unmoved by her calling him "uncle." He didn't even bother to turn around. Teresa watched Yolanda, who looked so small and vulnerable, leaning on Sharon for support.

Teresa felt sorry for her and really wanted to go over and give her a comforting hug, but she hesitated, worried Yolanda might not want that, so she held herself back. And the fact that Yolanda called out for Theodore made it obvious-right now, she just wanted him to come over and hold her. Feeling utterly helpless, Teresa turned to look at Theodore. Seeing his stern face, not a trace of a smile, she couldn't help but lower her voice and softly called out, "Brother..." There was a quiet plea hidden in her tone.

Theodore knew Teresa too well, and he couldn't bear to make things difficult for his little sister. After weighing it over in his mind, he finally relented. He turned around, forced a smile, and looked at Yolanda. "Yeah, your uncle's here." Honestly, Theodore still cared about Yolanda and felt bad for her. But because Yolanda had always made Teresa sad, he just couldn't bring himself to like her the way he used to. Still, no matter what, she was his niece. When Theodore finally agreed, Yolanda reached out her pudgy little hands, her whole upper body leaning toward him.

"Uncle, hug me!" She was just a kid, and with a fever, no matter how much trouble she usually caused, right now she was being so good. Theodore picked Yolanda up. His broad chest was warm and solid, and she snuggled into him, looking much more comfortable than before. Monica used to get sick all the time when she was little, and Theodore was always there to calm her down. So when it came to taking care of kids, Theodore was pretty good at it. Seeing Yolanda getting sleepy, he walked around the hospital room with her in his arms. As he walked, he gently patted Yolanda's back.

Just like that, Yolanda fell into a deep, peaceful sleep. Even though she was asleep, Theodore could still feel how hot and feverish Yolanda's breath was. Once Yolanda finally stopped crying and fell asleep, Teresa let out a long, relieved sigh. Not wanting to disturb Yolanda's rest, Teresa whispered to Theodore, "Theodore, Yvonne and I will head out for now." Theodore kept gently patting Yolanda's back as he nodded at Teresa. "Alright, I'll come out once she's really asleep." With that, Yvonne wheeled Teresa out of the hospital room.

Outside the hospital room, they found a row of benches where people could sit and rest. Yvonne wheeled Teresa up to the benches, then took a seat herself. Yvonne glanced at Teresa, curiosity in her voice. "I never expected Yolanda to cling to her uncle like this." Teresa felt her heart tighten. She kept her gaze on the hospital room door, but spoke to Yvonne. "Yvonne, she only acts sweet when she needs something from others." Yvonne's smile faded away instantly. She knew Teresa must be feeling pretty bitter inside right now.

Worried Teresa might start overthinking things, Yvonne gave a soft chuckle and said, "She needs someone right now-like she'd dare to act up." Teresa kept her eyes glued to the hospital room door, staying silent. Seeing how down Teresa looked, Yvonne reached over and took her hand. Just then, the curtain at the entrance to the Emergency Department was yanked open, and someone rushed in, looking like they were in a real hurry. Teresa instinctively turned her head, and out of nowhere, her eyes locked with Troy's.

She barely had time to process what was happening before Troy marched straight over to her. Not even noticing Yvonne nearby, Troy dropped to a squat right in front of Teresa's wheelchair. He grabbed Teresa's hand, checking her anxiously from head to toe. "What happened? Are you hurt? Why are you here at the hospital?" Every word dripped with worry and care. Teresa was so thrown by his questions that she just stared at him blankly, completely lost for words. Troy straightened up a bit, frantically checking Teresa's arms.

"Let me see." As he spoke, he started pulling at her clothes, worried sick she might've gotten hurt again. Teresa tried to push Troy's hand away, but before she could say a word, Yvonne jumped in. "Mr. Hamilton, Teresa's fine. The one you should be worried about isn't her-it's someone else." Troy shot Yvonne a puzzled look. "Who's in trouble? Charles?" Before Yvonne could answer, Troy turned back to Teresa, a hint of jealousy in his voice. "Is that why you rushed to the hospital at this hour-for some other guy?" Yvonne couldn't help but chuckle at how quickly Troy jumped to conclusions. "Mr.

Hamilton, it's Yolanda. She's running a fever." Troy placed a hand over his heart, visibly relieved. "Oh, as long as Teresa's okay, that's all that matters." Yvonne couldn't help but laugh, and with perfect timing, she tactfully excused herself. "You two talk-I'll go check on Theodore." Teresa hadn't even opened her mouth before Yvonne was already heading into the hospital room. When Yvonne entered the room, she saw Theodore cradling Yolanda in his arms. Yolanda was already fast asleep, but Theodore just kept walking around the room, refusing to put her down.

Seeing how soft-hearted he looked, Yvonne let out a quiet laugh. "You say you don't care about kids, but look at you fussing over her." Theodore looked up, a little surprised to see Yvonne. Then he replied, "She's still just a kid-and she's Teresa's niece." Yvonne knew better than to tease him, so she just asked calmly, "How's Yolanda? Is she still running a fever?" Theodore gently touched his forehead to hers before answering, "Yeah, she's doing a bit better now, but she'll probably get another fever later tonight." Yvonne nodded.

"With kids, sickness always seems to come and go-they're always catching something again." Theodore suggested, "You and Teresa should head home. I've got things under control here." Yvonne smiled, a little amused. "It's too late now-Troy's already shown up." Theodore was stunned for a second. "How did he even find out? Did you sneak him the info again?"
