Chapter 455 Chapter 456 EL 55 Vouchers! Chapter 456 When the car stopped at the gates of Joyacre Villa, Charles sat there for quite a while. After what felt like forever, he finally pushed the door open and got out. Naomi hurried after him and got out of the car too. Charles didn't bother to look back at Naomi. His face was dark and stormy as he strode straight into Joyacre Villa. Naomi hurried after him, almost unable to catch up. She called out anxiously, "Charles." Just as Charles was about to step into the hall, he finally stopped. He turned back to look at Naomi.
Standing under the porch in his black coat, the evening sunlight cast a glow over him, his eyes cold and deep. After a long pause, he finally said to Naomi, "Just go back." Naomi was halfway up the steps when Charles spoke, and she stopped in her tracks. After a moment's hesitation, she tried, "Charles, let me just check on Yolanda for a minute?" Charles put his arm out, blocking her path. "No need tonight. Just go back." Naomi turned to Charles, puzzled. "Why?" His expression stayed icy, and he didn't look at her. "No reason." Naomi's eyes welled up again.
Her face was a picture of hurt and disbelief as she looked at Charles. "Charles, what did I do wrong?" Charles didn't want to answer her. He replied quietly, "I'm going in." With that, he turned around without hesitation. But as he turned, he saw Yolanda coming out of the yard, dressed in her pink fluffy pajamas and fuzzy slippers. When she spotted Charles and Naomi, her face lit up with joy. "Dad, Miss Naomi, you're back!" She called out as she hurried toward the gate.
When Yolanda saw Naomi standing at the bottom of the steps, she lifted her foot to go over, but Charles reached out and grabbed her arm. Yolanda looked up at Charles, her little face puzzled. "Dad, what are you doing? Why are you grabbing me?" Charles looked down at her, his voice stern. "Go inside." Yolanda flinched, startled. "Dad, why are you being so harsh?" Charles stayed silent, just holding Yolanda's hand as he led her back into the yard. Yolanda struggled to get free. "Dad, Miss Naomi hasn't come inside yet. What are you doing?
Let me go!" Charles coldly replied, "She doesn't need to come in." Yolanda looked up at Charles, completely baffled. Seeing his gloomy face with not even a trace of a smile, she started to wonder if it was because of all that stuff she'd seen online. Back home, Yolanda had been scrolling on her tablet and kept coming across videos from bloggers saying Naomi and Jason had something shady going on, and that Naomi was two-timing Charles. Now, seeing how Charles was acting, Yolanda figured he must really care about whatever was happening between Naomi and Jason. Yolanda instantly felt upset.

She tried to yank her hand back, but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't break free. Thinking about how her dad was blaming Naomi because of those rumors online, Yolanda huffed at Charles, "Hmph, bad dad!" Charles didn't say a word or get angry at Yolanda's complaint. He just kept holding her hand and walked straight into the hall without looking back. Once they were inside, Charles finally let go of Yolanda's hand. Yolanda tried to run back outside, but Charles blocked the doorway and demanded, "Where are you going?" "You don't get to tell me where I go!
You're a bad dad, I don't want you anymore!" Yolanda shouted, her neck red with anger as she looked up at Charles. Charles didn't budge. He snapped, "Get inside!" Yolanda burst into tears. "Bad dad, bad dad! I don't want you anymore. I just want Miss Naomi!" Yolanda kept crying as she tried to push her way outside. Charles just stood in the doorway, totally blocking her path. Seeing Yolanda cry even harder and start saying all kinds of mean stuff, Charles totally lost his cool. He stepped forward, lifted her up, and plopped her down on the couch.
Meanwhile, at the entrance of Joyacre Villa, Naomi stood on the steps, tried to go in, but the house staff stopped her at the door. She could hear every word of the heated exchange between Charles and Yolanda coming from the hall. Hearing Charles's cold, final words, Naomi let out a laugh without even thinking. But as she laughed, tears started to roll down her cheeks. Knowing there was no way to change Charles's mind, Naomi didn't stick around at the entrance of Joyacre Villa. She turned away and went back to her place next door.
Inside the hall at Joyacre Villa, Yolanda bounced right back up from the couch after being tossed there. Spotting Charles heading for the stairs, she was so mad she couldn't stand it. She charged over, grabbed his arm, and bit down hard, sinking her teeth in with everything she had. Yolanda bit him with all the strength she could muster. Charles winced from the pain and reflexively shoved Yolanda away, but his push sent her sprawling onto the floor. Yolanda landed hard, her arm scraping against the ground and leaving her skin raw. She cried out in agony, huge tears rolling down her cheeks.
Seeing Yolanda fall to the floor, Charles's heart twisted. He crouched down in front of her, reaching out to her, but she pulled away. "Leave me alone!" Charles just stood there, frozen, unable to snap out of it for a long time. Yolanda sat on the floor, clutching her scraped arm, checking it over and over, blowing gently on the wound. With a face full of hurt, she looked up at Charles and said, "Dad, even Mom never hit me like this. Why did you hit me? You're a bad dad, hmph!" Hearing Yolanda say that, Charles's face grew even darker. He didn't help her up.
Instead, he said coldly, "Go upstairs by yourself." Yolanda yelled, "No way! I'm not going!" Charles didn't bother arguing. He just said, "Throw all the tantrums you want, but some things just won't change." Yolanda wanted to ask what he was talking about, but Charles was already heading upstairs. Seeing how stubborn Charles was, Yolanda muttered at his back, "Hmph, I don't need you as my dad either." After Charles went upstairs, Yolanda was left alone in the living room. She was planning to sneak out, but as soon as she reached the hall entrance, a line of servants blocked her way.
"Miss Yolanda, this is Mr. Logan's order. Please don't make things difficult for us." Yolanda yelled angrily, "Get out! You're all bad people! Get out! I don't want to see you anymore!" After shouting, she just deflated, like a balloon that had lost all its air. Thinking about her situation, she couldn't help but cry, feeling so miserable, Chapter 456 13 55 vouchers Yolanda sat downstairs, hugging her knees and crying for what felt like forever. When she finally ran out of tears, she curled up on the couch and drifted off to sleep.
Charles went upstairs to his bedroom, washed up a bit, and then made his way to the study. Downstairs, Yolanda's sobs grew quieter and quieter, and Charles just couldn't shake off his worry. He couldn't help but come out of his room to check on her. At the top of the stairs, he peeked down and saw Yolanda fast asleep on the couch. After thinking for a bit, he finally made his way downstairs. He gently scooped Yolanda up, intending to tuck her into bed upstairs. But as Yolanda curled up in his arms, she mumbled, "Mommy, Yolanda misses you." She was half-asleep, her face was sweaty.
Hearing her call out for her mom, Charles's heart twisted with complicated feelings. He couldn't help but think, 'Yolanda must be missing Teresa Sullivan. 'No kid can really be without their mom,' he thought to himself. But soon, his divorce hearing with Teresa Sullivan was coming up. Thinking about it, Charles couldn't help but wonder, 'Is this divorce really unavoidable?' 田 AD Comment Send gift No Ads Editorial board Editorial Board: Our editorial team works behind the scenes to refine each chapter, maintain consistency, and deliver the best reading experience.
