Chapter 434 Chapter 435 Hearing Theodore's half-reproachful tone, Yvonne raised her hands in mock surrender. "Hey, I swear I didn't say a word! He just showed up on his own." Yvonne blinked, suddenly catching on. "Wait a sec, how did Troy even know to come here? Maybe Teresa told him to?" Yvonne was obviously hinting that Teresa had invited Troy herself. Theodore's face darkened at her words, but he didn't say anything more. He knew Troy wasn't a bad guy, but he didn't want Teresa and Troy to get too close too fast.
You can't really tell if someone's good or bad just by spending a day or two with them. After thinking it over for a bit, Theodore suddenly said to Yvonne, "Yvonne, go get Teresa and have her come in to hang out with Yolanda for a while." Yvonne let out a sigh and gave in. "Alright, fine." With that, she headed out of the hospital room. As she stepped out, Yvonne spotted Troy's hand on top of Teresa's. Teresa froze when she saw Yvonne, then snatched her hand away, looking all flustered. Yvonne got straight to the point.
"Teresa, Theodore wants you to go in and keep Yolanda company." Teresa nodded. "Okay, I'll go in now." With that, Teresa shot Troy a quick look, but kept quiet. Without a second thought, Teresa walked straight into the hospital room. When she walked in, Theodore had already put Yolanda down on the bed. Maybe the movement was a bit much, because Yolanda let out a couple of cries before Theodore gently patted her and soothed her back to sleep. 'Theodore, Teresa called out softly.
Theodore straightened up, moved aside to make room for her, and said quietly, "Stay with her for a while." Teresa sat by the bed and nodded to Theodore. "Okay." Seeing Yolanda still asleep, Theodore slowly left the room. Teresa stayed by the bedside, looking down at Yolanda, her forehead damp with sweat. Feeling sorry for her, Teresa gently tidied her sweaty hair. 55 vouchers- At last, she couldn't help but reach out and softly pat Yolanda's head. Right then, her heart ached with sadness. Whenever Teresa thought back to those days, her chest tightened with sorrow.
Yolanda had always been such a gentle, obedient kid back then. Her eyes grew misty again just thinking about it. Afraid she might wake Yolanda, Teresa reluctantly withdrew her hand. Teresa lingered by the bedside for a while, watching over Yolanda. When she remembered her family waiting outside, she finally got up and quietly stepped out of the room. When Teresa opened the door, the first thing she saw was Theodore and Yvonne sitting side by side on the bench, leaning close to each other. Troy was nowhere in sight.
She glanced over and caught Troy tilting his head, giving her a mischievous grin. He flashed her a cheeky smile, but with Theodore and Yvonne right there, he kept any flirty comments to himself. Teresa hesitated for a second, then turned to Theodore and Teresa. "Theodore, Teresa, Yolanda's fever will probably flare up again. You two should go home and rest. I can handle things here by myself." Yvonne frowned, clearly worried. "Are you sure you'll be okay alone? Or I could stay with you?" Teresa shook her head and said, "Yvonne, you've been through a lot today. Go home and get some rest.

Sharon and I can take care of things here." Yvonne still looked worried. "But..." Before she could finish, Troy jumped in, "Yvonne, don't worry. I'll stay here with her." Yvonne hesitated, her voice lingering. "Uh..." She drew out the word, not really agreeing or refusing, and glanced over at Theodore for his opinion. Yvonne felt reassured knowing Troy would be there with Teresa, but she wasn't sure if Theodore felt the same way. Theodore was sharp and immediately picked up on Yvonne's glance. After a brief moment of thought, he relented.
"Alright, let's head home." Yvonne stood up right away and told Teresa, "If anything happens, make sure to call us." Teresa nodded. "Okay." After watching Theodore and Yvonne walk out of the Emergency Department, Teresa glanced back at Troy Chapter 435 and said quietly, "Maybe you should go home too." Troy arched an eyebrow. "Are you kicking me out?" Teresa replied, "You don't really have a reason to stick around." "If you can stay, why can't I?" Troy shot back. Teresa was stumped for a moment. "You...
seriously?" 55 vouchers Troy stepped forward, each stride bringing him closer until his tall figure completely overshadowed Teresa. He looked down at her, his eyes intense and shadowed, a deep, captivating smile curling at his lips-almost enough to steal her soul. Teresa turned her face away, forcing herself not to look at him. But no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't ignore his presence. His scent invaded her senses, filling her nose and refusing to let go. Teresa tried to head back inside, but Troy grabbed her wrist before she could move.
Sharon was in the room and happened to glance out, catching sight of Troy lowering his head toward Teresa. It looked like he was about to kiss her. Sharon was stunned for a moment, but she stayed silent. Life with the Logans had never been easy for Teresa, but at least the guy outside was completely focused on her. Thinking about it, Sharon found herself quietly giving Teresa her blessing. Charles had already moved Naomi into Joyacre Villa for ages-so what's stopping Teresa from doing what she wants? But right then, Yolanda suddenly let out a loud wail.
The sharp cry startled Sharon and made Teresa jump at the doorway. She pulled herself out of Troy's reach and hobbled back into the hospital room. Teresa sat down by the bed, pulled Yolanda into her arms, and comforted her softly, "Yolanda, what's wrong?" Yolanda buried her face in Teresa's neck, her tears and sweat smearing all over Teresa. "Mommy, my throat hurts." Teresa bumped her forehead gently against Yolanda's and asked playfully, "So, are you still going to eat ice cream after this?" Teresa knew Yolanda way too well-she had a sweet tooth, especially for ice cream.
Teresa couldn't say for sure that ice cream was the only reason Yolanda caught a cold, but let's be real, it was probably half the reason she got sick. Tears rolled down Yolanda's cheeks like little pearls, and in a raspy voice she said, "No more ice cream." Yolanda was so obedient that Teresa wasn't even used to it. "Be a good girl, okay? Will you listen to Mommy from now on? Mommy really loves you," Teresa rested her cheek against Yolanda's head, her voice almost begging. Yolanda sniffled and said, "Okay, I'll listen to you, Mommy." Teresa gently held Yolanda's face, surprised. "Really?
You mean it? You'll listen to Mommy?" Yolanda gave her a puzzled look, but didn't answer. Teresa knew it was probably too much to hope for, but she still wanted to hear Yolanda promise her. But since Yolanda wouldn't say yes, Teresa just had to give in. Yolanda cried for a while, and Teresa held her close, soothing her. Eventually, Yolanda drifted off to sleep, still feeling unwell. Troy just stayed outside the room, not coming in. It wasn't just that he didn't like Yolanda-he really couldn't stand being around her.
He was afraid that if he went in, he'd just make Yolanda resent Teresa even more. The night was pretty peaceful. Yolanda cried a few times, but her fever never shot up to 104°F again. Early the next morning, Sharon showed up with breakfast. Yolanda was still asleep, so Teresa didn't have the heart to wake her. Once Sharon had set out breakfast, she said gently to Teresa, "Teresa, have some breakfast.
You've had a rough night." Teresa thanked her softly, "Thank you." Sharon was a little surprised by how polite Teresa was, but then she turned to Troy and said, "Troy, you should eat something too." Troy looked up at Sharon with a big grin and joked, "Sharon, you're the kind of person I'd love to have around.
