---- Chapter 390 "Mom, where's Dad?" Gabriella sat in front of the dressing table with beautiful makeup on while her makeup artist placed a stunning diamond tiara atop her head. It was a present from Dahlia to Gabriella and was worth eight million dollars. "He felt a little tired and went to rest in a lounge room. We'll call him over later." Wendy returned to her senses. No matter what, Gabriella was still the daughter Wendy had raised since she was young. Wendy had long developed a close bond with her. Plus, Wendy wasn't going to let herself be swayed so easily by Valeria's words.
Without concrete evidence at hand, how could anyone prove that it was Gabriella who'd sent Wendy that photo? Wendy went up to Gabriella and smiled at her in the mirror. Today was a happy day for everyone. Gabriella suddenly lowered her gaze, looking very sad. She choked out, "If only I was actually both you and Dad's daughter by blood. I would've gladly given Dad my kidney so that he could get better." Wendy was touched. "Gabriella..." The makeup artist hurriedly brushed Gabriella's face with a makeup brush. "Please don't cry or your makeup will get ruined, Ms.
Grant!" ---- It was 10:00 am now. Though no outside guests had arrived yet, the hall was already bustling with activity. Valeria hadn't seen Sebastian anywhere yet. Much of the Grant family's friends and relatives had arrived, including those on Lewis' side. Alexander was still unwell, so it was up to Sebastian to attend to the guests. Aserver came over just then and handed Valeria a glass of freshly -squeezed juice. "Mr. Sebastian instructed me to give you this. He and Mr. Nicholas are busy tending to the guests right now." "Alright. Thank you." Valeria took a sip of the drink.

It was a blend of orange and mango juice. She gazed at Martha who stood a distance away, leaning against her walking cane. Since Valeria was of no help to anyone right now, she'd just quietly participate in this party like any other stranger would. Once the party ended in the afternoon, Valeria would leave. Awave of exhaustion swept over her all of a sudden. Strange. She had slept well last night and was still pretty awake earlier... Valeria propped herself up with an arm, swaying unsteadily . The server from earlier helped her stand up and said, "You must be tired, Ms. Neal.
Here, I'll bring you somewhere where you can rest." Valeria didn't want to rest right now. Though her vision was ---- starting to blur, she instinctively stayed vigilant of her surroundings. She even shoved the server away. But the server swiftly grabbed Valeria's arm. He scanned his surroundings and saw that some heads had turned to where they were. He then held Valeria as he nudged her forward, saying, "Ms. Neal is feeling tired, so I'm going to take her somewhere to rest." The guests present didn't pay much mind as they were family friends. They only nodded and told Valeria to rest well.
Sabrina was standing a distance away when she saw Valeria being led away. Her heart finally calmed down. What a tremendous day it was. Not only was Valeria's reputation going to be ruined , Sabrina herself was going to get the man of her dreams. Martha turned around just in time to see Valeria being taken away by the server. A concerned expression appeared on Martha's face as she placed a hand on Avery's shoulder. " What happened to Val?" Martha hadn't been seeing things , had she? She had clearly seen Valeria's figure.
All the Grants had dressed ceremoniously today, but only Valeria had worn a peach -colored bodycon dress. That figure really did look like Valeria. But Martha had only taken one glance. ---- "Mrs. Grant Senior," Sabrina hurriedly called out and came over to link her arm with Martha's . "Mrs. Grant Senior , do you think we should readjust the central lighting in the hall? Gabriella has four different looks today. Would you like to go and help her in the dressing room?" Martha nodded. "Let's go together." Sabrina kindly refused, saying she had other important matters to attend to.
Gabriella had just texted Sabrina to inform her that Sebastian was in Lounge 13. They had a two hour window from now until 12:00 pm, which was when the party would start. Sabrina glanced around her. She'd already tipped off a group of media reporters who'd expose the scandal in an hour's time. So what if Sebastian regained consciousness halfway through the affair? The lounge door would be locked from the outside. Sabrina had even specifically chosen this lounge for the two of them, as there were no windows.
It was situated in the innermost corridor of the place, where no guests would usually wander to. It created a pretty insulated effect too. Once the door was shut, it functioned similarly to a hidden room where no one could escape. But that didn't apply only to Sabrina and Sebastian.
