---- Chapter 309 Valeria glanced at the necklace resting on the nightstand. The morning sun streamed in, casting a beam of light that caught on the diamonds, sending a flash straight into her eyes. She let out a faint sigh of relief. When the nurse called her earlier, she had really feared that Sebastian might have done something reckless again. After slipping the necklace into her bag, Valeria set the paper bag she carried on the nightstand before adjusting Sebastian's Iadrip. Sebastian was awake but drained. His eyes were closed, as if he was dozing off.
He had felt it the moment Valeria walked in. Her scent was unlike anyone else's, and her footsteps were unmistakable. He didn't dare to open his eyes and only listened to the sounds of things being set on the nightstand, though his eyelids trembled faintly. Valeria carried her laptop with her. Seeing Sebastian still asleep, she sat in the bedside chair and set the computer on her lap, getting straight to work. It was then that she remembered that her sketchbook was still at Sebastian's place.

Time ticked by, and Valeria's full focus was on her screen, and her fingers tightly gripped her stylus. On the bed, Sebastian ---- stirred . She looked up to see him pushing himself up on his arms, lifting the blanket to get out of bed. She frowned. "What are you doing?" Sebastian raised his head slightly. Valeria got up, realizing he wanted to use the bathroom. Sebastian tried to get down, but his body swayed weakly. She set her laptop aside and reached out to steady him.
He lowered his chin onto her shoulder and said in a low voice, "I feel so dizzy." "T'll get you a male nurse," Valeria said, trying to get him to sit and wait. However, he slipped his arm around her waist and leaned lightly into her, resting his cheek against her shoulder. It felt like he might collapse if she took a step back. "T can't wait. Just hold the IV and help me over." Sebastian's voice was hoarse, sounding even raspier than it had the night before. Looking at his pale face, Valeria had to admit that he did seem unwell.
After hesitating for a moment, she picked up the IV bottle and steadied him with her other hand. It was only a few steps from the bed to the bathroom. Inside, there was a hook for the IV, so Valeria hung it up. Sebastian swayed unsteadily, looking at her with pitiful eyes. ---- Her temples throbbed . "Don't tell me your hands suddenly went weak." "A little," he answered guiltily , but he was not the slightest embarrassed. Valeria crossed her arms, seeing right through him. "Then, just hold it in." She pushed open the door and waited outside. After a few minutes, Sebastian walked out.
Valeria took the IV bottle again, supporting him as he clutched his chest and leaned against her. He looked like a frail, suffering person, but to her, it felt like she was yanking two sacks of cement. She finally got Sebastian back into bed. She was just about to say something when Sebastian curled onto his side. His body was half-hunched, and his palm was pressed to his chest. Sebastian breathed heavily, and his face looked incredibly weak, Valeria put her hand against his forehead and felt that it was burning hot. After the IV drip finished, a nurse came in with medicine around noon.
Valeria hurried over and asked, "He drank a little water this morning, but threw it up. Can he still take those pills?"
