---- Chapter 151 Valeria Wood wanted to see Sebastian. Chandler said Sebastian had been asking about her, but who was he? He was the heir of the Grant family, while she was just an ordinary person. She figured Chandler was probably just joking around. "He stepped outside to answer a call," Sarah said as she watched Valeria Neal head down the stairs and disappear . " But I don't really remember her. If there had been a classmate who was that pretty, we definitely would have noticed." Valeria hurried down the stairs. She bumped right into Sebastian coming up the stairs.
Instinctively, she grabbed his sleeve, stopping him from going upstairs. Sebastian glanced at her, still upset, but seeing her pale face, his brow furrowed. Her face was drained of color, and even her lips looked pale. Valeria looked at him and paused briefly before she finally released her grip. She didn't want to lie anymore , knowing that one lie always led to another. A server was walking up the wooden stairs from the first floor to the second. Valeria stepped aside, slipped past Sebastian , and headed down. Sebastian instinctively grabbed Valeria's hand.
As he held it in ---- his palm, he frowned, noticing how cold it was. Her complexion was just as pale. His voice softened as he spoke. "Are you feeling alright?" Valeria shook her head gently and then said softly, "I think I'm going to head back first. I'll pay for the meal." Valeria didn't want to lie anymore. If he went upstairs and saw Valeria Wood with Sarah, she just hoped he would give her ten minutes to leave. The truth would come to light eventually. She didn't know how Sebastian would react if he found out she was actually Jane. Would he hate her even more?

Would he take Selena away from her? Valeria hurried down the stairs. Sebastian watched her leave, then quickly went upstairs , grabbed his coat from the chair, and rushed out. Sarah pointed toward Valeria Wood's back as she said, "Hey Sebastian..." Before she could finish, Sebastian was already gone. Valeria Neal stood at the restaurant entrance and hailed a cab. Just as the car pulled up and she got in, ready to close the door, Sebastian's hand caught the handle. He slid into the car, and Valeria had no choice but to scoot ina little.
The driver glanced instinctively at Valeria and Sebastian. " Hey, young lady, did you have a fight with your boyfriend ?" ---- Valeria replied, "He's not my boyfriend." The driver rubbed his nose and said nothing more. When they reached the neighborhood , Valeria got out of the car. She hadn't walked far before Sebastian grabbed her wrist from behind. She tried to break free but failed. Noticing the redness in her eyes, Sebastian sighed in resignation and drew her into his arms. He never knew what to do when she cried. "Don't cry," Sebastian said, giving her back a gentle pat.
Valeria wasn't crying, but her eyes were a little red. He wrapped her up ina tight hug. His warmth felt out of place compared to his usual aloofness. Valeria sniffled, her voice muffled as she said, "I'm not crying. Before Sebastian could respond, she added, "The wind is just making my eyes water." Sebastian had never been good at comforting women, and he didn't know how to start now. So, he simply reached out and ruffled Valeria's hair. The cold and dry winter air had left her soft, silky hair charged with static, the faint lift making her look irresistibly cute in an unintentional way.
He didn't know why, but after that meal, she seemed off. For the first time, he found himself paying attention to a woman's mood. ---- He had only been gone a few minutes to take a call, but when. he came back, she was walking down the stairs, her face pale and looking down. But she wouldn't tell him what was wrong, even after he asked. Valeria walked up to her door and keyed in the passcode. Sebastian stood behind her, pulling a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet. She had never seen those slippers before, and they definitely didn't belong to her.
After all, she wouldn't own any luxury slippers. Sebastian slipped them on and strolled into her place as if he owned the place.
