---- Chapter 328 Sebastian received a call from Martha at 4:00 pm. Glancing at Valeria, who was lying in bed, he got up and walked to the living room. Martha asked him what Valeria liked to eat so she could get the kitchen to start preparing. He replied, "Something light. She doesn't like greasy dishes, and nothing too spicy. Just regular home-style food will do. She likes bolognese pasta, but she doesn't eat much at night." He had sent Mallory a message a while ago and looked at the CT report. There hadn't been any major issues with it.
"How are you feeling now, Mom?" "| feel great right now," Martha replied. If you bring your girlfriend home tonight, I'll basically be immortal." Sebastian rubbed his brow, and the corner of his lips curled up slightly. "Then, I wish you and Dad to have an everlasting life. Martha waved it off. "Just wish me everlasting life. Forget about your father. I've been telling him to dye his hair, but he refuses to listen. "If he sits there with that gloomy face again, I'll have to give him a good talking-to." Before hanging up, Sebastian's voice dropped.

"I don't want to see Gabriella at the dining table tonight . Send her away." ---- She asked, "What's wrong? Gabriella's your niece. She also wants to see her aunt." Sebastian let out a dismissive laugh. "Mom, just listen to me for now." He knew his parents wouldn't sabotage his marriage with Valeria, especially Martha, who was a cheerful, kind-hearted ball of sunshine. Nicholas was stricter and more old- fashioned, but only on the surface. Meanwhile, Alexander was gentle and had protected Sebastian since he was a child. So, he respected Alexander deeply.
Mallory was also easy to get along with. She carried none of the arrogance of a wealthy heiress and the perfect balance of her parents' traits. She was capable in business, yet tender and girly in private with Zayn. Leo was lively and fun as well. Then, there was his so-called niece, Gabriella. Sebastian knew Valeria wouldn't want to see Gabriella either. At 5:30 pm, Sebastian drove to the Grant residence. The butler was already at the door. When Sebastian stepped out of the car, he clasped Valeria's hand. As their fingers interlaced , he noticed how chilly her fingertips were.
He could tell that Valeria was hesitant about ---- coming here, so he cajoled her, "We'll leave after dinner." At the shoe cabinet, she spotted a pair of pale pink slippers on the rack. She sat down on the low stool, and Sebastian bent over, curling his hand around her ankle to lift her foot. "I can do it myself," Valeria quickly said. "Why are you being so polite with your husband?" He held her ankle and crouched down. At that moment, he couldn't tell it was due to some strange quirk of his, but he stared at her foot for a few seconds.
Once she had the pale pink slippers on her, her toes looked so elegant to him. As if guided by impulse, he pressed his palm against her sole, gauging the size. Valeria froze, utterly unprepared for that sudden action. She quickly pulled her foot back, put on the slippers, and stood up. Then, she whispered, "You..." Her eyes darted around. There was staff coming and going through the living room, and she caught a glimpse of Martha sitting on the couch. Valeria's cheeks warmed, and she could vaguely feel that her foot was also hot.
Sebastian looked so cold and distant , but in private , he was completely unpredictable.
