Chapter 245: Gift War
~ Soraya ~
Life moved forward again for Soraya and Jacob.
Since being awarded Cedar Heights’ Breakthrough
Entrepreneur, many things have happened. First, Soraya sold
half of the properties under Azora Real Estate LLC, earning
almost two billion dollars in profit. She kept the remaining half,
intending to hold them until their zonal value reached its
highest peak. At the same time, she focused on developing
her lands on Velden Island.
On Velden Island, Soraya had developed her first mall and
residential building, a large mixed-use project she proudly
named Azar Tower. It was her biggest property investment so
far, and the start of a new chapter for Azora Real Estate.
Azar Investment Firm became one of the top investment
groups in the country, achieving over a billion dollars in profit
for the first time.
Aegis Core Systems was chosen by the National Space
Defense Agency to build the cybersecurity shield for the
country’s new defense satellites. It was a massive project still
in progress, one that kept Soraya and Silas incredibly busy. It
also marked another major milestone for the company, lifting
Aegis to a higher level of recognition and power.
Soraya’s company, NeuroBloom Technologies, became a multi
-million-dollar enterprise after several breakthrough app
launches and successful partnerships across multiple
industries.
----
Dalton Realty continued to generate strong profits, and Soraya
benefited greatly from its success.
Her best friend, Lyra, finally started her own marketing agency,
which had been thriving for a year now.
And as for Luca? He had his very first runway show in Paris,
further elevating Valmont Privée’s reputation in the fashion
world. The collection gained international praise, attracting
high-end retailers, celebrity stylists, and luxury magazines.
Orders poured in from cities like Milan, Tokyo, and others,
pushing the brand into a new level of global recognition.
But it was not only Soraya who was soaring. Jacob's
companies were thriving just as fast. With their partnership,
their businesses continued to strengthen each other, and
Jacob's net worth had grown by more than three hundred
billion dollars.
Nexa Power expanded its distribution nationwide, pushing
profits even higher. After the successful completion of the
Altum Coastal Expressway, almost every major government
project began landing in his construction company. Recently,
with the opening of Arxon City’s international airport, real
estate developers across the country started seeking
partnerships with SteelCore Infrabuild.
A few days before the couple's 4th wedding anniversary,
Soraya was in New Avenport, signing approvals for the
construction of an eco-friendly resort in one of their
properties.
Annette walked in, saying, “Ara, you have a delivery from your
husband.”
Soraya stilled. Why would Jacob send her a delivery while she
----
was away?
Before she could stand, three men entered carrying a black
velvet box the size of a suitcase. The box opened, revealing a
full diamond and yellow-gold jewelry set that sparkled like it
had its own lighting system.
Annette gasped. “Ara... that necklace might pay off the
national debt.”
Soraya rolled her eyes but smiled. She found a small card
tucked beside the earrings. It read: [To my wife. | hope this
shines half as bright as you do. Happy early anniversary.]

Soraya laughed softly. “Trying to spoil me again, hon?”
As soon as the delivery men left, Soraya grabbed her phone. “
Emil? Prepare the title deed for the private island. Make sure it
is wrapped nicely. Jacob started something he cannot finish.”
Emil sighed on the other end. “I knew this day would come.”

~ Jacob ~
At SteelCore Industries headquarters, Jacob sat behind his
desk, flipping through construction reports, when Nelson
walked in with a confused expression.
“Sir... something arrived from Mrs. Steel's assistant, Emil.”
Jacob raised a brow. “Soraya sent something?”
Nelson presented a glass case. Inside was a framed land title,
sealed with gold foil.
Jacob stood slowly. “Soraya bought me an island?”
“Yes, sir. And she wrote you a note.” Nelson handed it over.
----
Soraya’s note read: [Since you like giving me shiny things, here
is something you can build on. Happy early anniversary, hon.]
Jacob chuckled, rubbing his forehead. “My wife thinks she
can outdo me?”
Nelson cleared his throat. “I looked into it, Mr. Steel. The
island has its own helipad.”
Jacob looked up. “Of course it does.”
He sat back down, thinking. Soraya wanted a gift war? Fine.
They would have one.
“Nelson, remember that private jet Ara gushed about during
our trip to Paris? Buy it,” Jacob declared, shocking his
assistant to the core. “Give it to my wife.”

~ Soraya ~
Three days passed.
After her business at Dalton Realty, Soraya intended to return
to Cedar Heights. She was booked in first class with Jaxon
and Annette, but just as they were about to check in for their
flight, a familiar figure appeared at the counter.
Dante stood waiting for them, straight-backed and calm as
always. “Mrs. Steel, | have already cancelled your return flight.
Instead of taking a commercial airline, Mr. Steel has
purchased a private jet.”
He stepped aside and gestured toward the glass windows.
Soraya followed his motion.
Parked on the private tarmac was a sleek white jet trimmed
with brushed gold accents, its polished exterior reflecting the
----
late afternoon sun. It was The Sovereign.
Until recently, The Sovereign belonged to ApexSky Charter,
one of the most exclusive private-flight companies in the
country. It was their crown jewel, a long-range jet booked only
by high-profile CEOs, A-list celebrities, royal families, and
world leaders. The jet had made headlines for completing
record-breaking intercontinental flights without a single stop.
Jacob and Soraya happened to book this same aircraft for
Luca's fashion show in Paris.
Dante cleared his throat. “The Sovereign is registered under
your name, Mrs. Steel. The boss said you are no longer
allowed to take commercial flights.”
Jaxon’s jaw dropped. Annette covered her mouth with both
hands.
Soraya could only stare, speechless. “Jacob... bought me a jet?”
Dante nodded. “Yes, Mrs. Steel. And he would like you to use
it immediately.”
Then, Soraya received a message on her phone. Jacob's text
read: [Happy advance anniversary, hon. For your safe travels
always. | love you.]
Soraya realized she could never beat Jacob in this war of gifts;
he was much richer and more powerful. She bit her lip,
thinking. Then she declared, “Let's go straight to Belridge.”
Hours later, Soraya was walking briskly through the halls of
SteelCore Industries. Employees bowed their heads in awe
and respect for her.
When she spotted Nelson, she said, “No one is to disturb us.”
----
“Yes, Mrs. Steel,” Nelson confirmed.
Soraya walked into Jacob's office and locked the door behind
her.
She caught her husband's attention. His smile reached his
ears. “Honey? What a surprise.”
Soraya walked toward Jacob seductively and sat on his lap.
She whispered, “Enough work for today. How about giving me
some love?”
They kissed passionately, and soon after that, their cries of
passion filled the air.
The couple made love with Soraya straddling him in his chair.
After an exciting moment, Soraya smirked and said, “How is
my anniversary gift, hon?”
“Your anniversary gift?” Jacob asked, bemused.
She cleared her throat, looking down at their compromising
position. “My final gift to you is a baby.”
“Ohl!” Jacob's eyes lit up. His smile brightened. “Haha!”
He kissed her again, holding her gently. “The best gift ever. No
amount of money can buy. Thank you, hon. | love you very
much.”

Two months later, Soraya found out she was pregnant. One
tiny heartbeat, steady and strong.
That day, Soraya and Jacob left the clinic hand in hand, fully
contented, knowing their family was about to grow again. Life
had taken them through storms and victories, yet somehow,
every step led them to peace, to abundance, to a love that
----
kept deepening. With their children thriving and a new little
life on the way, their future felt wide open. Whatever came
next, they would face it side by side.
