---- Chapter 221: New Bracelets ~ Soraya ~ The sun was warm and bright over the Maldives. Soraya sat 'on the sundeck while Jacob sat behind her, his arms gently wrapped around her, his chin resting on her shoulder as they watched Sage and Angela search for seashells and starfish by the beach. Yes, Sage came with them on that vacation. As a family, they had a whole week together with Sage. "| missed you," Jacob said, gathering all her hair to one side and then littering kisses on her neck. Soraya laughed. Her skin formed goosebumps at her husband' s touch.

"That's why we're on vacation." She turned to him, and they shared a long, loving kiss. "I missed you too, and | miss this." Soraya leaned back against Jacob's chest, feeling calm and safe. "| do wish we could have more time with each other." Jacob pulled her tighter into his chest and said, "We can move back to Belridge in a few months. Everything's settled in Nexa Power. We can just visit the plant every month during the board members' meeting." Her husband wasn't holding any operational position at Nexa Power.

He was an active board member, but he didn't make daily decisions at the power plant. Hence, it was fine for them to move back. "I'm going to miss Burnell, though. It's so peaceful and quiet there," Soraya said. "But it's too far from our main businesses." ---- "Yes, honey. With the ongoing construction of the Altum Coastal Expressway, | need to be around more in Belridge," Jacob shared. The couple also brought Sawyer and Aiden, but since they were only five months old, they spent most of their time in the villa with Veronica and the caregivers.

Every early morning, however, Jacob and Soraya would take the twins to the beach and enjoy the morning sun's rays. "Mommy! Mommy!" Angela suddenly called, running toward them. "Sage found a blue starfish!" Sage came running too, showing off the blue starfish. "It's so big!" Soraya exclaimed, moving forward. "It's bigger than my hand." Angela tried to touch it but quickly pulled her hand back. Sage laughed and offered the starfish to Angela. "Don't be scared. It doesn't bite. Go on." Soraya and Jacob looked at each other before watching the two kids.

Soraya was nearly in tears seeing how they got along. Angela's gentle nature brought out something new in Sage: an older-sister instinct to look after her, to teach her things, and to protect her in little ways. Sage carefully placed the huge starfish in Angela's hand. Angela cautiously held out her hand and waited, with one eye closed and the other open. "See?" Sage said. "They don't bite. Haha. Let's go look for more colorful starfish, and we can take pictures of them. | want to show them to Grandma Amanda." ---- "Okay!" Angela said excitedly. "| want to arrange them by color.

"Kids, remember to put the starfish back in the sea afterward," Jacob instructed. "Yes, Uncle," Sage confirmed. "We will." The family did more than just stay on the beach. They went on a local island tour, joined a fishing excursion with the kids, and much more. Every other afternoon, Jacob and Soraya also brought the twins, Aiden and Sawyer, to the kids' club. Even though they were still babies, they enjoyed the bright toys, the soft things to touch, and the happy sounds around them. One afternoon, the kids' club organized a bracelet-making activity.

Soraya and Jacob were playing with the twins, resting them on their laps while showing them toys, when suddenly Sage cried. "Mommy, Sage is hurt!" Angela called. "No, I'm not hurt," Sage said, wiping her tears away. Veronica, being there, quickly took Aiden from Soraya. Soraya walked over to Sage, who was being comforted by Angela. "Sage, what's wrong?" Soraya asked. Shaking her head, Sage said nothing, but very quickly, Soraya's eyes landed on the resort club employee who was teaching other kids how to make a nylon bracelet.

Soraya couldn't remember exactly when Sage stopped wearing Rose's charm bracelet, but she was sure it had been ---- gone for a while. 'She must have remembered, Soraya thought, feeling emotional at her daughter's sudden sadness. "Let's make bracelets together," Soraya suggested. "You, me, and Angela. It'll be our mother-daughter-sister bracelet." At first, Sage hesitated, but soon she joined in, weaving the nylon bracelet with Soraya. Angela, who was completely unaware of Sage's emotions, happily picked out the colors for her sister. It ended up making Sage smile.

By the time they were done, Sage, Angela, and Soraya had matching nylon bracelets. Soraya said, "This is a symbol of our love and our bond. We should cherish this and keep it forever, no matter what." "Okay, Mommy!" Angela said happily before flashing the bracelet to Sage. "It's so pretty!" Sage stared at her own bracelet. She tried to hold back the tears but couldn't, and soon she was crying again. Soraya ended up taking Sage for a walk that day, out at sunset. Under the orange skies, she hugged her daughter tightly and said, "It's okay. Mommy isn't hurt about the bracelet anymore.

Don't feel bad." "Im sorry, Mommy. I'm sorry," Sage said, crying her heart out. "| forgive you. | already did, because I'm your mom and | love you," Soraya said, rubbing Sage's back. "Everybody makes mistakes, even adults, but I'm glad you're learning from the past. We should all do the same." When Soraya pulled away, she said, "You're going to grow up ---- to be a sensible and mature girl." "I love you, Mommy," Sage said, hugging her again. "I love you too. I'll always love you," Soraya replied. "And you know what's great about Mommy having another family?

It means more people love you too, like Angela, your Uncle Jacob, and Grandma Veronica." While wrapped in that embrace, Sage nodded. Soraya didn't know how long Sage would keep having these moments of looking back at the past. Remembering how broken she once was after the divorce, Soraya knew that kind of pain didn't fade easily. Still, she promised herself to keep trying, to give Sage all the love she needed to fully heal. That was the only emotional part of their vacation, though. The rest was full of laughter. After all, who wouldn't enjoy the amazing beaches of the Indian Ocean?

seek ~ Elena Dalton ~ Back in New Avenport, the Dalton family was having dinner at their mansion. After hearing the news that Miss Azar of Azora Real Estate LLC was actually Jacob Steel's wife, Elena began searching online for news about her. However, no matter where she looked, there was no photo of Miss Ara. There was a feature about her in a fashion magazine. She had modeled for a rising designer, but her photo was either blurred out or cut off completely! "This is strange," Elena muttered. "Mom, Dad, | can't find anything on Mrs. Ara Steel.

Who is this woman who became the company's chairman? And why did you easily agree to ---- vote for her?" "It's simple," Harrison Dalton replied. "Since she took over most of our properties, my work has become easier. Annette practically outlines my weekly tasks as president." "But you should be careful, Harrison. If you don't improve your leadership over Dalton Realty, she could terminate you," Amelia warned. "I'm trying my best to follow through on her directives. They're very thorough and well thought-out. Honestly, I'm learning from Miss Ara's style of management.

Everything's been structured since she came into the company," Harrison explained. "Miss Ara must be a gifted entrepreneur," Amelia said with a smile. "No wonder she married such a reputable husband." "Elena," Amelia said, smiling at her daughter. "When Miss Ara comes to the appointment ceremony, you should win her favor." "Oh, | already thought about that, Mom," Elena said, grinning. " | want to be best friends with Miss Ara Steel! | can't wait to meet her." "We all can't wait to meet her!" Harrison said. "Henry can't stop talking about her!

She must be an outstanding woman." Little did the Daltons know that Miss Ara Steel was even more eager to meet them, a meeting that would leave them both stunned and full of regret.
