Chapter 382: Tears streaked down her face as she grasped Callie's hand. She had never imagined her parents would discover her recent promiscuous life, especially not the day she gave in to temptation and agreed to a group encounter that had seemed utterly sinful. She was caught in the act, and her parents saw through her lies and realized the depth of her betrayal. What devastated her most was that, rather than helping her, her parents abandoned her without a second thought, fleeing overseas as though she was nothing to them. Within a matter of days, Stella found herself all alone.
Callie gently rubbed her hand, offering comfort. "It's all right. I'll be here for you." A flicker of hope sparked in Stella's eyes. "You mean it?" Callie nodded, her voice steady. "Of course. I heard what happened that day, and I know it was Nyla who set you up." Her eyes filled with a quiet sorrow as she continued, "Nyla came to the company today, deliberately framing me. Ethan actually believed her and fired me." Stella's red eyes widened in disbelief. "How could that happen?" Callie's voice quivered slightly, a soft sob escaping.
"Stella, I've put up with so much, but I never imagined Nyla would go this far. Don't worry, since she's the one who set you up, I will help you." Stella nodded, her voice small but resolute. "I understand. Thank you, Callie." "Should I take you to the hospital for a check-up? Don't worry, no one will find out," Callie asked softly. Stella hesitated for a moment, but seeing the sincerity in Callie's eyes, she made up her mind. "Okay." A faint smile touched Callie's lips. She guided Stella to a private clinic. Stella, though nervous, followed her in. Lɑtєѕτ cнαρτєrs ιn glovєls.

"Don't worry, this is a private place, and I know people here. Your secret will stay safe," Callie reassured her. "Just follow them inside." Stella nodded, though still unsure, and stepped forward, letting the staff lead her into the examination room. Callie's expression shifted like the turning of a page, her eyes cold and filled with contempt. A figure approached, bowing respectfully. "Miss Higgins, what would you like us to do with her?" "Administer one milliliter of the antidote, and that's all," Callie ordered, settling on the sofa and taking a slow sip from her coffee.
"Understood," the figure nodded and disappeared into the examination room. Callie's thoughts were in turmoil. Leaving Crestwave Group was troublesome, yes, but the real danger lay in exposing Nyla's marriage to Ethan. If that truth came to light, everyone in their circle would know that Nyla was Ethan's wife. She couldn't let that happen. If she had the chance, she would have killed Nyla already. Killed her? A thought suddenly struck her like a lightning bolt, and she turned her eyes to the closed door of the examination room. A slow, almost imperceptible smile crept onto her lips.
"One must always make a difference, right?" . . .
