Meanwhile, Nyla was preparing for her second prenatal check-up. With Ethan conveniently away on business, Nyla made her way alone to the same hospital as before. This time, the results were particularly promising, offering her much-needed relief. She softly caressed her belly, feeling a wave of drowsiness wash over her. Lately, she found herself craving naps more often than not.

"We got married recently. It's not unusual that not many people know yet." Claire froze. Nyla had really married. She sank onto the sofa, her hand on her chin as her mind raced. Did Ethan have a thing for married women? How likely was that? Claire had already devised a plan to persuade Ethan, but now she couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration at his apparent lack of initiative.
