Chapter 331: It seemed their relationship had reached its breaking point. Wasn't this what she wanted? But now that it had come to this, regret gnawed at her. After her relentless insistence, Bonnie was finally allowed to visit Maple Villa once to check on Nyla. "Nyla, how are you? Feeling any better?" Nyla was sitting in the garden, her face turned toward the sun. Hana, who had stayed behind to care for Nyla, kept the villa running smoothly, though it felt empty with only the two of them. "Bonnie, I feel... bound to this place," Nyla admitted quietly.
Bonnie's expression softened with sympathy. "Then don't leave," she said gently. "I just want you to be safe." Nyla smiled faintly, warmth filling her chest. How fortunate she was to have someone who truly cared for her. Bonnie recounted the events of the day by the seaside to Nyla, whose expression remained composed throughout. "I took a leap of faith. Since I lost, there's no need for further involvement with Murray," Nyla said evenly, her voice steady. She had rarely taken risks in her life, but before this recent incident, she had believed Murray to be a genuine friend. . . .
