Chapter 337: Her hand, resting on the table, clenched into a tight fist, a faint tremor running through her fingers. "Get ready, I'm taking you for a health check-up." "Okay," Nyla responded, the tension draining from her body. Ethan watched her relax, a pang of confusion hitting him. Had she really been so anxious? Was she avoiding him? Frustration rose within him. Was she still thinking about Murray, the man who had nearly cost her life? The drive to the hospital was filled with silence. Nyla's mind was occupied, while Ethan's thoughts raced with irritation.
At the hospital, Leonard escorted Nyla to her appointment, while Ethan waited in the hallway, restless and uneasy. Meanwhile, Callie was also at the same hospital, helping Stella into a chair. "Thank you, Callie. I didn't expect to faint suddenly," Stella said apologetically. They had been out shopping when Stella suddenly fainted. The check-up revealed it was caused by irregular eating habits. "It's alright, as long as you're fine. Don't sacrifice your health for your looks," Callie advised, her tone thoughtful and mature. Stella nodded.

Callie's eyes darted to the nearby department, quickly realizing Ethan had brought Nyla in for a check-up. A rush of jealousy surged through her, but she kept her smile in place. "Did you bring Nyla for a check-up? How is she doing? I haven't seen her in a while." At the mention of Nyla, Stella's expression darkened, irritation flashing in her eyes. "Fine," Ethan said curtly. "That's good to hear. We'll be leaving then," Callie replied, her voice composed, every word exuding polite restraint. . . .
