Chapter 1224: Fabian's eyes narrowed as her implication sank in.

"You're saying the building's blueprints are fake?"

"Not entirely fake. It's just that some hidden structures might not have been disclosed to you."

Allison recalled something they had mentioned earlier - how certain powerful figures had shown an inexplicable interest in Aröme Tower for years. It made her wonder just how many secrets had been buried here all this time. "The rest of the blueprints are accurate, but there are undoubtedly concealed areas within the building."

Fabian's expression darkened, shadows crossing his face as realization dawned.

If what Allison was saying was true, then he'd been deceived for years. Though the idea seemed improbable, he had an inexplicable trust in her.

Without hesitation, he pressed the intercom button on his desk.

"Allan, come in."

His secretary entered briskly.

"Who designed Aröme Tower?" Fabian asked directly.

"It was Mick, the renowned native architect."

"Get his contact information. I have some questions for him about the building."

"Okay. I'll contact him right away."

After Allan left to make the call, Fabian turned back to Allison, his demeanor growing more serious. "I'm no expert in these matters, but if there's truth to this, I need your help investigating it, Ms. Clarke."

"Of course."

Moments later, Allan returned, passing the phone to Fabian, who quickly connected with Mick Hungerford.

"Mick, I've recently brought on a new consultant with expertise in various fields. She's noticed some peculiarities in Aröme Tower's structure."

He handed the phone to Allison.

"You and Ms. Clarke can discuss the structural issues."

As the receiver changed hands, Mick's voice emerged from the other end, oozing nonchalance with a hint of arrogance. "Ms. Clarke, Aröme Tower has been standing tall for years. Why raise questions now? Did you really find something amiss?"

Then, with a patronizing chuckle, he continued, "Besides, Ms. Clarke, aren't you just a perfumer? I don't know why Mr. Morgan values your input, but architecture is best left to the professionals. As a professional architect, I don't think there's anything wrong with Aröme Tower in terms of architecture."

Hearing his snide remarks, Kellan, who had been standing nearby, bristled. His face hardened.

"Some so-called professionals fail to see the flaws in their own work," he said evenly. Kellan's voice had turned icy. "In my opinion, pride without competence leads to downfall."

Though spoken quietly, his words carried enough weight to pierce through the receiver. Mick, on the other end, bristled.
