She then softly began massaging his temples with her delicate fingers. "I used to wonder why Kellan was so smart while my child was so foolish. Now that I think about it, I spoiled Hoyt too much." Her voice was soft, and the pressure from her hands was perfect. Though she seemed to be taking the blame, she was really just showing her thoughtful side to Brook.
