Chapter 1219: Determined, Allison secured her pass around her neck and headed straight for the advanced fragrance laboratory. Nearby, she found lab-exclusive protective suits neatly arranged.
Wasting no time, she slipped into one, blending seamlessly into the bustling crowd.
Her eyes quickly took in the scene - people gathered tightly around something.
"This is Mr. Welch's latest masterpiece. We've brought it out for everyone to appreciate and learn from." A box of scent strips was passed around. "Take one and share your thoughts."
When the box reached her, Allison casually took a strip and inhaled deeply.
The scent was bold but shallow, a perfume with obvious appeal yet undeniable flaws.
Under her breath, she murmured, "Sixty points, maybe."
"What?"
The man next to her froze, his expression twisting in disbelief. "This is Mr. Welch's latest creation, and you're only giving it sixty points?" His words weren't loud, but they carried enough weight to draw the attention of those nearby. All eyes fell on Allison.
"Sorry, I thought it was out of seventy." Allison, not wanting to draw unnecessary attention, quickly came up with an excuse. "I mean, this perfume smells really nice."

"Then explain why you docked the ten points."
The man's eyes narrowed as he leaned in, his tone sharp and challenging. "I think women like you lack the expertise to critique a master's work." His arrogance was palpable.
Allison's expression darkened instantly. "Well, I never realized that perfumes could somehow be tied to gender."

She had expected perfumers to carry a certain prestige, but she hadn't anticipated this - a world where even deducting ten points felt like a sin. She certainly hadn't foreseen someone openly demeaning women. But Allison wasn't about to back down. To her, the flaws in the perfume were glaring, regardless of who had created it.
Her voice sharpened as she laid out her critique. "The scent is overpowering at first but fades too quickly. If it's meant for daily wear, it's nothing more than a fleeting moment of brilliance - flashy at the start and then gone. And the citrus note added at the end? It's way too fresh. It completely drowns out the opening scent." Her observations were precise, far more on point than most.
But dissatisfaction lingered in the room.
"Who would even use Mr. Welch's work as a daily perfume?"
"Exactly! That's absurd."
"I don't think I've seen you before. Who are you, exactly?"
Allison reached for her pass, letting it dangle visibly.
"I'm the perfume specialist sent by Dibya Group."
Her gaze swept over the room, settling on the skeptics.
"I'm here to commercialize Aröme Tower's perfumes. So naturally, I have to evaluate them from that angle."
