It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. When she opened the door, I stared down at her, drinking in the sight.

She must have been starting to get ready for bed, her hair was down in a thick fall of gold that tumbled around her face in gentle waves that made me want to run my fingers through and see if they felt as soft as they looked. She was wrapped in a warm bathrobe that was cinched tight around her slim waist, and despite the fact that I had clearly interrupted her when she wasn't ready for visitors, she still carried herself with an air of preparedness that made me feel as though I was the one being caught off guard standing in her doorway.

"Alpha Gideon," she looked up at me with a question in her eyes, "How can I help you?" I noticed that she didn't welcome me into her room. Our situation had reversed from her adorable stumbling comments from the night before when it had almost seemed like she had been requesting an invitation to stay in my room. Now it was I who was requesting access to hers. I looked down at her and pulled from the depths of my soul the words I had come to say.
