---- Chapter 402 That night, Maggie went with the rest of the family to the airport to head back to New York. They were in business class. Isabella and Hugo sat on the right, by the window. Maggie and Old Mrs. Miller sat in the middle section on the left. With Isabella taken care of by Hugo, Maggie focused on adjusting Old Mrs. Miller's seat. While she was speaking with the old lady, Janice, Old Mrs. Green, and the others came down the aisle toward them. The Green family weren't surprised to see them-if anything, they smiled knowingly.
Clearly, they already knew the Millers had been in Miami, and that they'd booked the same flight back to New York. Sophia looked straight at Maggie, smirked provocatively, and raised her voice: ---- "Grandma, Auntie-some people spent all that time running to the hospital to fawn over Old Mrs. Wilson, thinking they could curry favor with her and cling to my brother-in-law to stop the divorce. But the moment the old lady's health improved, my brother-in-law didn't even. wait for my sister to bring it up-he immediately arranged to finalize the divorce.

I used to worry because that person kept dragging her feet and refusing to file, but my sister said she trusted him to handle it. Looks like she was right." Everyone from the Green family knew Sophia was saying it for Maggie's ears. Old Mrs. Green chuckled, patted Sophia's hand, and looked at Maggie and Old Mrs. Miller with open mockery. Janice's expression stayed calm. She didn't seem at all surprised that Franklin had seized the first chance to push through the divorce. She didn't even glance at the Millers as she walked elegantly past them to her seat. Jason and Old Mrs.
Miller, however, understood perfectly well that Sophia was aiming to humiliate them. The old lady's face, already wan, grew even darker. Jason's jaw tightened as he stowed their luggage. ---- Sophia deliberately slowed down so her words would land, until an impatient passenger behind them barked, "Move it already! What are you chatting about?" The Greens had been riding high lately. Sophia bristled at being scolded and turned, ready to snap back-when suddenly Maggie, hidden by the luggage bins, stretched out her foot. Sophia stumbled forward, crashing straight into Old Mrs. Green.
Both went sprawling onto the carpeted floor. Janice had just sat down. Seeing them fall, she shot to her feet, face dark, and hurried to lift her mother. "Mom, are you okay?" Sophia scrambled up, livid, blood at her mouth from where her teeth had struck the armrest. She glared at Maggie. "It was you! You did that on purpose!" Maggie's gaze was icy. "I have no idea what you're talking about." "You-!" Sophia began, but the passenger who'd scolded them before cut in loudly: "You weren't watching where ---- you were going.
Don't blame others!" Though the carpet softened the fall, Sophia's lip was bleeding. Furious, she opened her mouth again-only for the same passenger to snap, "If you don't want to fly, get off the plane. Stop holding everyone up!" Others chimed in impatiently: "Yeah, sit down already!" Sophia's face burned. She wanted to retort, but Janice said curtly, "Yao-Yao, sit." Though fuming, Sophia didn't dare disobey. She shot Maggie one last vicious glare. "Just wait." Maggie ignored her, adjusted Old Mrs. Miller's seat, and sat down. Old Mrs.
Green's forehead was bruised, and her fine clothes were rumpled. The sight made Janice's face grow even uglier. She hadn't seen what happened, but she knew Maggie was behind it. After having a flight attendant tend to her mother's injury, Janice returned to her seat. She cast Maggie a cold ---- stare. Maggie met her eyes coolly in return. Janice knew better than to escalate. If the scene was photographed and spread online, they'd only embarrass themselves. So she gave Maggie a frigid glance, then sat down without another word.
