“They never had any feelings to begin with. What’s there to rekindle?” Julia answered indifferently, though she didn’t like the way Tracy phrased it.

Seeing Tracy getting worked up, Julia explained, “Grandmother Wilson and the Miller family have a good relationship.

Frank needs to keep Maggie and the old lady on good terms with Grandma Wilson so that they won’t use the threat of not having surgery as leverage to force him to break up with me.”
