Maggie nodded. “Let’s go.”

Before leaving, they went over to say goodbye to Harry.

Harry hadn’t expected them to leave so soon.

However, he could tell that Maggie wasn’t the type of person who enjoyed socializing.

The Cole cocktail party was three days after the Becker Family’s event.

Harry arrived quite early that evening.

Although their cooperation had been relatively smooth, Johnny never considered Harry to be a true friend.

Of course, he also knew that Harry’s words were just polite pleasantries.

That being said, Johnny was satisfied with Harry’s ability to set aside personal grudges and focus on business.

Though Harry was speaking to Johnny, his attention was still largely on Maggie.

Tonight’s event was hosted by Johnny and Maggie.

Even though Johnny was there to protect her, Maggie had still drunk quite a bit of alcohol that evening.

Her cheeks were faintly flushed, her eyes glistened with a soft glow, and the usual coolness in her gaze was reduced, giving her a somewhat… cute appearance.

Harry’s grip on the stem of his wine glass tightened slightly, his gaze shifting away slowly.

Though Maggie had drunk some alcohol, she was not yet intoxicated.

As the evening was winding down, when Maggie saw Harry to the door, Harry stopped in his tracks.

The cold wind outside was biting, and noticing the small section of white, delicate calf exposed beneath her soft gown, he said, “Let me take it from here.”

Maggie nodded, “Alright, take care.”

Harry looked at her as if he had something to say, but after a brief hesitation, he remained silent and

turned to leave.

After all the important guests had left, Maggie finally got into Jason’s car and left the hotel.
