Mr. CEO, Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time Novel

Maggie picked up the call almost immediately. 

“Franklin just called me, we just finished talking.” Johnny said. “Did he try to call you?” 

“He called just a few minutes ago.” 

Johnny scoffed, “He really did go to you first.” 

It was already expected that Julia would get Franklin’s help, and that he might end up using the Miller family if 

necessary. 

And Franklin likely knew that they would use the recent collaboration between Cole and Wilson Tech as leverage, so he reached out to Maggie to see if there was any opportunity to break through there. 

But Maggie didn’t give him a chance. 

So, Franklin had to contact Johnny. 

The reason this matter was being handled by Johnny and Franklin was that, officially, Johnny was the head of Cole, making it more appropriate for him to deal with these discussions. 

At this thought, Johnny couldn’t help but feel frustrated. He was angry that Franklin thought he could manipulate Maggie, thinking she was easy to deal with, and believed he could approach her to solve the issue. 

He was also a bit worried about Maggie and asked, “Are you alright?” 

Maggie’s heart remained calm as she replied, “I’m fine. ”  Then, she asked, “How did your business trip go? Was the collaboration smooth?” 

“It went well.” 

They chatted a bit more, and then the call ended. 

That afternoon, Wilson Tech’s legal team, led by Levi, had received the news that Cole was going to terminate the 

contract. 

In the evening, inside a private room. 

When Levi found out that Franklin had already spoken with Johnny, and that Johnny was resolute in his decision to terminate the contract without any room for negotiation, he let out a soft curse, then said almost the same thing as Old Lady Green: “Maggie seems so quiet and harmless, but I didn’t expect her to be so calculating.” 

Time 

He continued, “It’s not that surprising After all, when the drugged you before and then pretended to be innocent afterward, it showed that she wasn’t some pure, kind person 

He paused for a moment and then asked, “Is there really nothing that can be done about this ? 

Franklin responded, “Not for now.” 

Levi sighed, “If I hadn’t withdrawn from Wilson Tech and if I were still a shareholder, maybe I could’ve gone with Harry to talk to Johnny. That might have worked.” 

But now, they weren’t shareholders anymore. 

With that, they no longer had any say in matters between Wilson Tech and Cole, 

Julia, who had been quietly listening, glanced at Harry, who was sitting next to Levi. 

She noticed that throughout this entire situation, it was Levi who was defending her and brainstorming solutions, while Harry hadn’t said a single word. 

He hadn’t even considered helping her. 

She pursed her lips, her expression darkening. 

The situation had reached this point, and termination seemed inevitable. 

When such a big issue had occurred, Logan and Lauren had also found out immediately. 

After hearing that neither Franklin nor Harry could change the situation, Logan said, “I’ll go talk to her later.” 

The “her” he was referring to, of course, was Maggie. 

Old Lady Green, her expression faint, also said, “I’ll go with you.” 

Lauren was about to speak, but Julia interrupted, “There’s no need to go. It’s useless. Franklin said that if you go to her, she and Johnny will just accuse us of harassment, and it will only make things worse if it goes to court.” 

Hearing this, the faces of the Brown and Green families grew even more grim. 

Sophia was completely stunned. 

She never expected that even with Franklin stepping in, they couldn’t resolve the issue. 

She hurriedly said, “I still don’t get it. This… this is just a small matter, right? 

They’re making such a big deal out of something so insignificant–can they really terminate the contract over this? That’s impossible, right?!”
