Chapter 244: Candice grinned and replied, "Of course. I've already saved a room just for you." After hanging up the phone, Candice took a deep breath and headed for the shower. The warm water helped her relax and wash away the fatigue of the day. Once finished, she slipped into comfortable pajamas, a towel draped over her shoulders as her wet hair dripped down. While in the shower, she had ordered some delicious omelet rice with curry. Just as she stepped into the living room, the doorbell rang. The speed of the delivery surprised her.
Even though she lived in the heart of the city, it was impressive that the takeout arrived so quickly. She quickly adjusted the towel on her shoulders and walked toward the door, eager to enjoy her meal. But to her surprise, it wasn't the delivery she had been expecting. The takeout had arrived, but someone else was holding it. At that moment, Candice found herself face-to-face with Milton, holding her omelet rice in one hand and a large bag in the other. He didn't seem pleased to find her in her pajamas.

"How could you open the door for strangers in pajamas?" he snapped, his expression darkening. Candice glanced down at her simple pajamas, puzzled by his reaction. "Huh? Should I have been in a formal suit just to receive my order?" Milton's anger only seemed to grow. "Don't you have any sense of security?" His face grew livid as he barged inside. Wasn't she aware of how attractive she looked with her hair hanging loosely after a shower? She couldn't even react before he was already inside. Candice wondered why he was still there. Was he waiting for her in Raul's apartment to open the door?
Frustrated, she snapped, "I didn't allow you to come in. You're the most dangerous person to me." Inside were an array of exquisite dishes - high-end sushi, delicate hot dishes, and a delectable Western platter. "Let's have dinner together. And stay away from that sort of food. It's unhealthy. You are too thin as it is." He then unceremoniously threw her omelet rice into the trash can.
"What are you, a policeman?" Candice's eyes widened in displeasure. "What do you mean?" Milton arched an eyebrow and asked. "It means you should mind your own business!" Candice scowled. "I just wanted to enjoy my omelet rice in peace." Milton was left speechless. Just as Candice was about to kick him out, her phone rang. . . .
