She worried that no one would answer the door when she came back with the medicine. She had no idea what the lock's combination was. Milton's home was in the most peaceful part of the city. The courtyard was located on a hill and covered a large area. The path from the main house to the gate was lined with priceless trees on both sides, creating a cool, shady environment. Shortly after, Candice returned to Milton's home with antipyretics and anti-inflammatory drugs. The guard must have recognized her from her previous visit, as he let her through without incident. Instead, he bowed to her in deference. Candice was perplexed. Seeing the security guard behave so politely made her wonder why. It seemed as if she was someone of significance there.
