Chapter 151: She felt relieved that she had managed to push him away. If she hadn't, she would feel like a complete fool right now. Clearly, he was the one most experienced in causing her pain. She had no idea how far she had walked. She wandered down the street without any particular destination in mind. Both her feet and her thoughts grew numb in the process. A Bentley was following her, though she was completely unaware. She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings until she bumped into a man who was jogging. "Miss, you should watch where you're going!" he said, glaring at her.

"I'm sorry, sir!" Candice responded sincerely. The man seemed dissatisfied but then moved on. To Candice's dismay, she suddenly realized she had gone too far. She was supposed to cross the street but hadn't done so. As she turned to go back, the black Bentley pulled up beside her. The window rolled down slowly.
