Chapter 165: Instinctively, Candice leaned back to avoid his touch. Greyson's eyes turned stone cold. She used to be so obsessed with him, and now she wouldn't even let him lay a finger on her. His face darkened with rage. "So he can touch you, but I can't?" The thought of her and Milton being together made him seethe. Candice frowned. Greyson's insulting words made her extremely uncomfortable. "Watch your mouth!" she snarled. Suddenly, Greyson grabbed her jaw and pulled her close until their noses almost touched. They could feel each other's rapid breaths.
Greyson stared at Candice's rosy lips. He thought of the kiss he failed to land on her mouth that morning. Then, he thought of her kissing Milton. Suddenly, Greyson felt like he was losing his mind. He held the back of Candice's neck and leaned in to kiss her. Seeing this, Candice quickly turned her head away. Greyson's cold lips brushed against her cheek. She shoved him hard, making him hit the car door with his back. "What the hell are you doing, Greyson? Show me some respect. Don't forget we're divorced," Candice shouted angrily, but to Greyson, she only looked even more beautiful.

Candice repeatedly tried to get out, but the door wouldn't budge. She looked back and glared at the man beside her. . To her surprise, Greyson took out a diary and asked, "Will you tell me what this is?" Bewilderment flooded Candice's face. The diary was hers. The rain had soaked the cover, and it hadn't been kept in good condition. The color had faded to a dull yellow.
This was the diary she had kept throughout her school years-junior high, senior high, and college. Whenever she struggled with schoolwork or personal issues, she wrote it all down. Most importantly, since her second year of junior high, the diary documented every detail of her secret love for Greyson. Greyson read it and knew he was in there, even though she never once mentioned his name or what had happened that night in the cold storage. The boy who seemed to enjoy reading alone, playing basketball, and walking alone on campus. Candice couldn't believe her diary was in his hands! . . .
