Just then, a harsh voice called out from outside the hospital room. "Hey, what are you doing lurking outside Mr. Riley's room? Are you eavesdropping?"

Linsey was caught off guard. She hadn't expected to be accused of eavesdropping the moment she arrived. The accusation felt completely unfair. She was simply entering her husband's hospital room. How could anyone claim she was spying in a place where she had every right to be?

Turning her head, she recognized a familiar face. Wasn't this the same nurse who had been forcibly removed from Gorman's room just the day before?
