Chapter 1415: Collin paused, his glass hovering. "I haven't decided. I'm waiting to see how things stand with her and her boyfriend first." "What?" Dustin nearly choked on his wine, his expression one of pure disbelief. "She's got a boyfriend?" Before he could recover, an even bigger bombshell landed. "Linsey's boyfriend is Gorman Green, your sworn enemy?" Dustin's voice shot up, his eyes wide with shock. Collin rubbed his ear, wincing. "Keep it down. You're going to deafen me." "Just... too stunned," Dustin mumbled, offering a sheepish grin as he straightened in his seat.
"I never imagined you and Gorman would be this entangled. Business rivals turned romantic rivals? That's wild." He continued, "If you ask me, with your charm and status, you've got Gorman beat by miles. Winning Linsey over should be easy. But..." He trailed off, letting the word hang. Collin arched a brow. "But what?" Dustin's gaze dipped to Collin's leg. "She doesn't know you've been faking that disability since the car accident to throw off your stepmother's schemes. I'm worried that might make her hesitate." Their conversation was cut short by a sudden, desperate cry from beyond the door.
