Chapter 479 Good Thing Oakley Was Here The girl called Nia was stunned. Her face was swollen and covered in sores, full of confusion and fear. But when she saw the silver wire wrapped around Stella's fingers, tears suddenly poured down her cheeks. "Shark!" she said. Crying, she turned around and started speaking rapidly in the local language. Sebastian couldn't understand her, but he watched as all the natives dropped to their knees before Stella, hands pressed together, their eyes filled with desperate reverence as they babbled nonstop. Stella's expression grew darker with every word.

She turned to Sebastian. "Come with me." Stella moved through the rainforest at breakneck speed. She slipped through the jungle as if it were deserted, nothing slowing her down. Sebastian swung his blade, chopping away any branches in their path, stealing glances at Stella. Ever since she landed, that dark vibe of hers was out in full force. For a moment, no one could tell if Mike was stalking her, or if she'd already marked Mike and his crew as her prey. Soon, a furious roar from some wild beast shook the skies above Sumepa Island. Birds flapped away in terror.

"Stella," Sebastian called out, sensing they were close now. Stella's gaze was icy as she looked up. "We're here." Even Blackie, wrapped around her wrist, picked up on the danger, too. Its pupils contracted into vertical slits. At the edge of the dense forest, a sudden blaze of white light split the darkness. There, a massive black snake, thick as a man's torso and covered in wounds, was shielding the group of natives who'd been taken earlier. It faced off against a squad of foreign soldiers with guns at the ready.

Its golden, vertical pupils glinted with cold danger, and a vicious scar slashed across its brow. This was the same giant Andi that once ruled Medicine Mountain back in Tongalia. Behind it loomed a towering cliff plunging into the ocean below. There was nowhere left to run. Right now, Andi was feeling super bummed. After leaving Tongalia, where it could eat and drink all day, it drifted across the ocean, hungry the whole way. It finally landed on this island and even bumped into Nia, who used to hang out with Shark as a kid.

Just when Andi thought it could go back to its lazy, eat-and-sleep lifestyle, some weird virus broke out on the island. Andi thought, 'It hadn't even gotten a bite of those yummy ducks, birds, bunnies, or wild pigs before the islanders started treating me as some kind of divine beast from the heavens. 'I am so wronged. 'I want to cry' Whoosh! Another heavy-duty tranquilizer dart came flying at Andi. It landed squarely on Andi! Andi was just dead silent. It glanced down. 1/3 Successfully unlocked!

Chapter 479 Good Thing Oakley Was Here Covered in darts but not even a little bit sleepy, Andi just wanted to scream its frustration to the heavens. Thanks to Oakley for always feeding it those nasty ViperShade pills. Back when it was drooling and convulsing, it never thought that the pills would eventually be the ones to save its life. Andi felt like bawling its eyes out. Suddenly, as if picking up on something, Andi jerked its huge head up. In a flash, a girl in camo appeared, whipping a knife from behind her.

Before the foreign soldiers could even react, she took them out one by one, quick, ruthless, with no hesitation. Within moments, emergency flares shot up, lighting the night sky one after another. All across the island, people from different countries looked up in shock. Mike's expression darkened. "Boss, it's the Yaloria team!" Mike's subordinate looked stunned. Back before they even set foot on the island, the treaty allies had made a pact that any native infected with the virus was to be wiped out, no questions asked. The gene virus secret had to die here.

But now, Yaloria's twenty-man squad was almost wiped out. Mike gritted his teeth. "It's her." It was Stella. The Monterra soldiers exchanged uneasy glances. Unlike the other countries whose teams got scattered all over the island, Monterra had pulled some strings so all their people landed together in one spot. "Listen up, everyone! Down the Miracle Drug! Our mission is to grab those files and the antidote, no matter what it takes, and take Stella out! You hear me?" Mike ordered. His muscles were taut as he raised his gun and shot a venomous snake right between the eyes as it lunged at them.

Blood sprayed everywhere. "Got it!!" the soldiers roared. ***** Stella and Sebastian were unstoppable. Stella was right in the thick of it, dropping foes with brutal close- quarters moves, while Sebastian picked off targets from a distance with deadly precision. Their teamwork was flawless. It didn't take long. The ground in front of Andi was already littered with bodies. Stella stood in front of Andi, bloodied from head to toe. Her beautiful, flawless face was cold and ruthless as her eyes landed on the last Yaloria soldier left standing. "D-don't come any closer!" the soldier stammered.

He clutched his gun as if it were his last lifeline, desperate and terrified. Stella smiled, "Hey, you didn't even try to shoot." As soon as she finished speaking, it was a Bang. And just like that, everything was dead silent. ***** Joey was perched up in a tree. He'd landed close to a water source. Even though he wasn't sure if the water was still safe to drink with all the chaos on the island, he remembered what Stella always said. After the drop, just found the stream, and she'd definitely come find them, one by one.

2/3 Chapter 479 Good Thing Oakley Was Here So, he was being extra obedient. While he was at it, he put his clever little brain to work and set up a simple trap, just in case something unexpected happened. Joey was just mulling things over. The trap was triggered. Joey's inner cheerleader was doing a victory dance. He peeked over. Joey couldn't believe it. He yelled, "Shit, it's you!" Perry was totally snared in the trap, stuck there with no way out. "Did you do this on purpose, you little shit?!" Perry shouted.

He was flailing around in the pit as a turtle flipped on its back, and he smelled like crap. This was the nastiest payback ever. Joey was just about to jump down from the tree when he heard something weird. He quickly put a finger to his lips, looking tense. Perry heard it, too. He didn't care about anything else and pressed himself down into the trap, eyes sharp and alert. "So, are all the researchers at the lab really dead? Is Mike's crew just after the gene data those dead scientists left behind?" The voices got closer, and Joey and Perry felt their hearts jump into their throats.

'Did I just overhear some insane, top-secret stuff?' both Joey and Perry thought. "They're such assholes... Who's there?" The Thalassa soldier shoved aside the branches and spotted someone lying in the pit. Then, he and his buddy whipped out their guns, ready to fire, and only for a shot to crack out from above. Perry exploded out of the pit, snatched up the dagger Stella had handed him, and jammed it right into the other soldier's throat. Thalassa's soldiers hit the dirt, not even a sound. Not a sound left. "Not bad, kid!" Perry looked up, giving Joey a nod of approval he couldn't hide.

Joey grinned, thumbing his nose. "Hey, I'm Stella's protégé, you know!" With that, he leaped down from the tree. Joey bent down, snatched the flares from the dead soldiers, and fired them off. "We gotta get this intel to Stella and the others! You bury these two in the pit. I'll leave a sign." With that, he pulled out his dagger and started carving into the tree, all the while secretly mapping out the whole area in his head. Joey just had this gut feeling. Stella had to be close by. She had to be.
