Chapter 293 Someone Pays The Medical Bills Chantel and her fellow classmates from Class 3 stood in front of the locked wrought-iron gates of Edenbury Academy. She crossed her arms, her gaze cold as she stared at the Technical High School across the street, a smirk playing on her lips. Just now, the principal and the Dean of Students rushed over there. Something was up. Chantel felt lucky that she hadn't tried to play hero. "Chantel, she's gonna get what's coming to her!" one of her followers gloated. "Serves her right for trying to steal your thunder!" Chantel let out a sneer.

The bell rang, signaling the end of class. More students who'd heard about what happened started crowding around the gates, eager to catch the drama. Word was spreading fast about the principal and the Dean of Students getting called over to the Technical High School in a hurry. Hazel was among the crowd. Lately, her dad had been thrown into jail on charges of solicitation, and she was so humiliated she could barely see anyone in the eye. But when she found out Stella was behind it all, she was so furious that she hated Stella to the bone.

"Has anyone come out yet?" one student whispered, craning his neck for a better look. "This is the first time something like this has ever happened at Edenbury Academy, right?" another asked, eyes wide with excitement. "Who actually had the guts to climb over the wall and stir up trouble at Technical High School?" someone else muttered, half in awe. "Damn, that's badass!" another voice chimed in. People kept whispering all around, and every time the security guards tried to clear them out, it just made the crowd even bigger.

All of a sudden, a thunderous motorcycle engine ripped through the air. A black chopper rolled into sight, and Chantel's eyes sparkled. 'Declan's here?' she thought, heart pounding. The motorbike screeched to a stop right at the gate. Declan pulled off his helmet. "Where are they?" Declan barked, his voice cutting through the crowd. He looked worn out, having just sped straight from his shift. He raced all the way, driving at top speed. Declan had rough edges and an icy attitude. "Stella took Caiden and the others and jumped over the wall," Chantel said, her voice thick with sarcasm.

"Why's she gotta act all extra and stir up trouble?" one of Chantel's sidekicks piped up right on cue. Everyone in Class 3 knew Declan hated people who made a mess of things. Just when everyone thought Declan was about to lose it, the tension in his body just melted away as soon as he heard Stella was the one leading the way. "It's fine then," Declan said, letting out a sigh of relief. Chantel and the others were stunned. They wondered what that even meant. "Declan-" Before Chantel finished her sentence, a burst of noise erupted behind her, and her sidekick bumped her hard in the arm.

"C-Chantel, look," her sidekick blurted out, eyes widened open. Chantel quickly turned to see what they vaterpolating at 1/3 Successfully unlocked! Chapter 293 Someone Pays The Medical Bills Chantel was stunned into silence. To everyone's shock, the ornate gates of Technical High School swung open from the inside. No shouting, no chaos. Instead, Tripp, the principal famous for his snark, was leading a bunch of Technical High School staff and walking Stella out. Everyone from Edenbury Academy was dumbfounded. 'Am I dreaming or something?' they thought, still in disbelief.

But no matter how many times they blinked or rubbed their eyes, the scene stayed exactly the same. Tripp was leading the Technical High School teachers, and even Leonardo and his sidekicks, walking Stella and Zack out the door. And they all looked like they were reluctant to let her go. Declan was stunned. He was breathing hard because he'd sprinted all the way here, heart in his throat. Clutching his helmet in one hand, he ran a hand over his forehead. Declan let out a low chuckle, unable to hold it back. For Stella, seriously, nothing was off the table.

"No need to walk us out," Stella said lazily, hands in her pockets. Chadwick cautiously peeked out from beside her, feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the attention. Tripp grinned, "Gotta walk you out!" Stella was speechless. Zack was also stunned. As they passed the gate, Tripp suddenly seemed to remember something. He motioned for the other staff to stop, then tapped on the glass of the guardhouse. "Next time, just let her walk in through the front gate," Tripp said with a big grin, turning to Stella. "No need to climb over the wall, okay?" Stella was speechless.

Honestly, climbing the wall was way quicker. "D-Declan!" Chadwick's eyes lit up when he saw Declan sitting on his bike at the gate, and he rushed over. As Chadwick ran over, the Edenbury Academy students got a good look. He was perfectly fine, no missing limbs, no bruises. The others in Class 3 were left speechless. That was not what they expected! Declan ruffled Chadwick's hair, then looked straight at Stella. "Thanks," he said. Stella raised an eyebrow and accepted it. Chantel felt a stab of jealousy at the scene, her hands balling into fists at her sides.

She couldn't help but take it out on Chadwick because he started all this. "Declan, you've been busting your ass working just to cover Chadwick's damn medical bills, and now you even had to take time off to rush over here. Don't you think you're overdoing it?" She couldn't help herself, calling out through the ornate gate. Chadwick's face went blank. He glanced at Declan, then dropped his head, sadness written all over his face. Not far away, Stella stood with her hands in her pockets, casting a chilly glance at the scene. Declan looked up at Chantel, his face cold.

"None of your damn business." Suddenly, Chadwick's phone started ringing. When he finished the call, he was so worked up that he grabbed Declan's arm. "D-D-Declan!" 2/3 Chapter 293 Someone Pays The Medical Bills His stutter got even worse out of excitement. Declan said, "Hey, relax." Chadwick stammered, "Th-the medical bills... S-someone already paid them!" He forced the words out, finally getting the whole sentence out. Declan jerked up his head, looking straight at Stella. "Was it you?" he asked, already suspecting the answer. Chadwick's eyes flew open in disbelief.

'That's over ten grand!' he thought. "Mmm," Stella replied. She gave a quick nod to both principals and walked off toward Edenbury Academy without another word. The ornate gate slid open on its own, and the crowd went completely silent. Then, Declan's voice suddenly called out from behind Stella. "I'll pay you back," Declan said firmly. Stella didn't even bother to turn around, just waved her hand lazily. But as she passed Chantel, she paused, giving her a look. There was a hint of mockery and indifference in her eyes.

But in a flash, Stella looked away and strode toward the school building lazily. Chantel wondered, 'What the hell was that look supposed to mean?' After Stella gave her that look, everyone else started giving her weird looks, too. Chantel felt furious and humiliated. "Drop by whenever you want!" Tripp was still cheerfully waving and calling out from the Technical High School gate. Everyone was stunned. Back in Class 3, Stella was sprawled out on her desk, catching up on some sleep.

Little did she or the rest of the Edenbury Academy students know that, in just two hours, someone's appearance would stir up a whole new storm. But for now, everything was still peaceful.
