Chapter 470 They're Pretty Lucky There was dead silence. Stella kept twirling her pen, her face unreadable, as the silent slideshow flickered on the wall. Snowball sat in silence for a while. "Sebastian, the International Military Council gave us only ten days, and we know nothing about the island. We' re sending our men to die," Murray snapped, teeth clenched, barely containing his rage. "Sumepa Island," Stella said. Suddenly, her calm, unhurried voice cut through the tension in the room. Everyone froze for a second, then turned to look at her.
Stella was lounging back in her chair, her eyes still fixed on the slideshow. "Sumepa Island?" The other generals looked at her in shock and disbelief. But Sebastian zeroed in on the real question. "You've been there?" Stella just gave a noncommittal hum, her voice flat. "They're pretty lucky." "Wait, you mean it's not dangerous?" Murray asked. Stella lifted her gaze and finished what she started to say. "They just happened to pick the toughest one." Everyone stood there, left speechless.
"Sumepa Island, also called Hell Island, is the deadliest spot among the twelve islands off International Waters," Stella explained. Murray's voice shot up. "Hell Island?" Just the name alone screams bad news. Sebastian's eyes darkened. "How dangerous are we talking?" Stella stopped twirling her pen. "Endless day and night cycles, poisonous mists in a choking jungle. Only one in ten survives. Most are natives. Before Monterra built its secret research facility, it had never contacted the outside world." Murray stared at her, stunned. "So...
how did they even manage to build that secret research facility?" "How did they build it?" Stella let out a cold laugh, a dangerous glint in her eyes. "If you carve a path with blood; you can build anything." Everyone was left speechless. As her words faded, the slideshow on the wall came to an end. "These are the twenty people I've picked. Once you've checked them out and everything looks good, let them know to head to the training ground in the back," Stella said. She slid twenty personnel files across the table to Sebastian. "You guys keep going," she said.
With that, she got up and strolled out of the meeting room, looking totally unbothered. Up in the tree at the training ground, Stella was perched on a thick branch. The oversized black hoodie she wore cast a shadow over most of her flawless, porcelain-like face. Something was wriggling restlessly in her pocket. "Try moving again," Stella drawled, her voice cool and lazy. Pebble was a little upset. Stella ignored it, fiddling with her phone before chually making a video call to ViperShade. Stella rolled her eyes. She hung up the video call in a flash. ***** Meanwhile, Isle of Solitude, up in the tree. "Shark..." Killer Whale said. He finished saying it before he even realized. She already hung up. Snowball sat in silence for a while. Killer Whale was stunned. She actually hung up on him. Down below. "You little punk, give me my phone back!" ViperShade yelled.

Dressed in rags, ViperShade was practically vibrating with rage under the tree. Up in the tree, Killer Whale just ignored him, blasting Stella's phone with a barrage of calls. But all he got was the automated message: "Sorry, the user you dialed is out of service..." Killer Whale didn't say anything. And he had been blocked. Whatever. Good thing it's just ViperShade's phone. Back at the training ground, Stella just arched an eyebrow at her phone, looking totally unfazed. Killer Whale, still banged up, had been scooped up by those five geezers and hauled off to the Isle of Solitude.
Judging by the way things looked, he was living pretty comfortably. Just as she was thinking that, her phone started ringing. She glanced down, at the screen. The caller ID read: [Razorstrike]. Stella didn't say anything. She rolled her eyes, but still picked up. Sure enough, it was Killer Whale again. Killer Whale was getting chased all over by Razorstrike, who was swinging that giant hammer like a total madman. "Ha! It's me again!" Killer Whale yelled. Stella just stared, speechless. 'This guy's nuts, Stella thought. As fast as lightning. She hung up without a second thought.
Her phone immediately lit up with another call, this time from Serpentina. She picked up. "Aha!" It was Killer Whale again. 211 Chapter 470 They're Pretty Lucky She hung up. Next up, Geezer's name flashed on the screen. She answered. Geezer's voice came through, "It's me again." She hung up. The dusty little Pebble in her pocket could clearly feel dark vibes starting to swirl all around it. They were all trembling in fear. Finally, by the time Professor Cipher's video call came through, Stella was at the end of her rope. She picked up.
Professor Cipher's face appeared on the screen, gentle, cultured, and refined. Even a killer whale, usually a total wild card, wouldn't dare mess around in front of him. "Little Monster." Professor Cipher said gently. Killer Whale poked his head into the frame, letting out a dismissive snort. 'So damn cheeky, Stella thought. "Professor," Stella said, ignoring Killer Whale as she pushed her hood back to show her sharp features. "I'll send you my address. Tell ViperShade to ship over the stuff I left with him, ASAP." Professor Cipher closed the hardcover book in his hands.
"Running into trouble?" "Nothing serious," Stella replied, completely unbothered. "I'm not Oakley." Killer Whale, who caught a stray for no reason, shot back, "What's that supposed to mean?" Stella let out a cold laugh. "Just what it sounds like." Killer Whale didn't say anything. "Alright. Anything else you need?" Professor Cipher asked, setting his book aside in that unhurried way of his. "Nothing else," Stella replied. She went to hang up. "Hey!" Killer Whale called out. Stella: "...What?" Killer Whale turned his head away, trying to act nonchalant.
"If you need help, I can let you use Chaos Syndicate's resources." He said it all awkwardly. Stella raised an eyebrow. "Didn't they take your authority away?" Killer Whale instantly bristled. "Please, that was all an act! I was just luring out the traitor!" He was absolutely furious. "Oh," Stella smirked, looking totally relaxed. "Seriously, it's no big deal. I don't need your Chaos Syndicate backup." After a moment, she added, "By the way, Oakley." Killer Whale: "Yeah? What is it?" "Just stay put on the island and focus on healing.
Don't go wandering off," Stella said, barely glancing his way as she leaned against the tree trunk, one knee up. Killer Whale pouted and muttered, "Oh." Stella added, "And don't go plucking the peregrine falcon's feathers, or stealing its eggs." "...Oh," he responded. Stella: "And leave laxatives alone." 3/4 250 Chapter 470 They're Pretty Lucky He stayed silent, just listening. Stella: "And don't..." Killer Whale barked, "You're so annoying! I'm hanging up!", but he didn't actually end the call. Stella nodded. "Okay." Stella hit the button. The screen went dark as she hung up.
Killer Whale didn't say anything. Killer Whale snarked. Professor Cipher watched Killer Whale practically steaming with rage, then calmly took a sip of his coffee. 'Nice work, Professor Cipher thought to himself. ***** Up in the tree, Stella's lashes lowered as she quietly watched the people arriving in response to her summons, each face passing before her gaze, matching the profiles she'd memorized. He lifted his hand. Slowly, she gathered her long hair and pinned it up behind her head, her pale, porcelain neck gradually coming into view.
Her chilling, intimidating vibe, paired with her striking beauty, was a whole new level of coldness, totally different from the way she was when training Joey. Down below. Noe and Perry were there too, both quiet and still stuck in the funk of losing. Honestly, they didn't see that coming. The thought was snapped by a sudden bang. A cold, imposing figure came crashing down from above. They looked pretty down in the dumps, thinking they were out of the running for Blaze. But out of nowhere, their superiors called them up just minutes ago.
