Chapter 472 Teach You How to Stay Alive Stella scanned the crowd, arms folded. "Anyone else got questions?" she asked. Her gaze was full of swagger. No one dared to challenge her now. "Good," Stella said coolly. "Looks like we're on the same page." She stood unfazed in the middle of the group of men. "You've always learned how to take down your enemies. Now, let us teach you how to stay alive." The veterans just stared at each other, totally baffled. 'Stay alive? Seriously?' the crowd wondered. Stella explained calmly, "Sumepa Island.is surrounded by thick forests.
Because of the island's endless days and nights, the plants and animals there have all mutated in all sorts of ways. "Over the years, countless people have tried to set foot on the island, but almost nobody comes back alive." The veterans, as well as the Red Shadow Squad behind Sebastian, looked totally shell-shocked. Joey swallowed hard and raised his hand like a well-behaved kid. "Boss. How do you know that?" He was asking the question on everyone's mind. "Oh," Stella said, her tone icy. "I've met those people before." Everyone was stunned.
"Well, to be exact, I've seen their bones," Stella added, tilting her head like she just remembered something. " You'll spot them too once you land. Be sure to say hi." Everyone was totally floored. Everyone thought, 'Say hi? Yeah, that's a hard pass. 'No. Thanks!' A chill wind swept over the mountaintop, making everyone shiver. "So... What exactly are we gonna run into?" Joey kept his hand up. Stella glanced at him. "Trees, flowers, streams, bugs... Anything you run into could kill you." Joey was stunned; "But that's not even the real danger," Stella said, her gaze turning serious.
Noe asked, "Then what is?" Everyone leaned in, hanging on her every word. "People," Stella said with a dark, almost chilling laugh. "Once you're on the island, if you get separated, the only person you can trust is yourself." Noe asked, "Why?" His voice was strained. Stella glanced at Sebastian, who picked up where she left off, his eyes darkening. "Because Monterra won't let anyone who steps onto that island ever leave alive," Sebastian replied. Everyone jerked their heads up. The mountaintop fell silent, and only the cold wind howled through the air. "Mr.
Gray, what did you just say?" Perry finally croaked out, his voice rough. "In the past couple of years, Monterra's special forces led by Mike have been crushing it at every major Successfully unlocked! Chapter 472 Teach You How to Stay Alive international military event," Sebastian said, his eyes sharp but his tone calm. "They're pushing their bodies way past what any normal human could ever handle." Sebastian raised his hand, and Eliel handed him a small black box. "This right here is why," Sebastian said. Sebastian hit the button. The box popped open.

Everyone's eyes landed on a small vial of pale blue liquid inside. "What's that?" one of the veterans blurted out, eyes wide. They all stared in shock. "Gene serum," Stella replied lazily, barely bothering to explain. "It can make your cells multiply like crazy, giving you a freakish power boost." "So... What's this got to do with any of this?" Perry asked, still looking totally confused. "Wait, are you saying-" Suddenly, Joey's eyes went wide, like a lightbulb just went off in his head. The veterans all turned to stare at him. "Wait. So that secret lab on Sumepa Island.
It's the HQ for making and experimenting with this gene serum?" Joey blurted out, feeling a chill run down his spine. Stella just smiled. 'Smart kid, Stella thought. "Stella! Are you saying-" Eliel's face suddenly turned grim as he looked up at her. "Otherwise, why do you think someone as ordinary as me could get Mike to show up at the Blaze tournament, waving a signed authorization from Monterra's military bigwigs, just to publicly challenge me?" Stella said. From start to finish, this was all a setup. And the real reason was that the vial of gene serum Stella stole that day.
Eliel and Vincent clenched their fists. Stella glanced at Sebastian, and the look they shared said it all. She said, "The so-called 'Fever Syndrome' is actually a twisted offspring of the Gene Project from Capley Lab. This whole 'Fever Syndrome' is a virus unleashed to mess with human DNA." Everyone was totally floored. "Shocked" didn't even begin to cover how they felt when they heard the truth. "So, once you set foot on the island, Monterra's soldiers will kick off a special 'slaughter game', and for you guys, there's no respawn," Stella said.
As she spoke, Stella's lips curled into a cold, sly smile. That chilling vibe, paired with her killer looks, was enough to make anyone's heart skip a beat. Actually, there was one more thing. It was the Flight MG857 incident at Haliville Airport. According to the timeline, after Mike realized the gene serum had been stolen, he reported it to Monterra's top brass. To avoid any international fallout, they decided to set Stella up during the Blaze tournament. But then, an unexpected virus leak on Sumepa Island caused an outbreak.
At first, Monterra didn't think it was a big deal, but as time went on, they realized the only possible cure was the antidote Eric had made years ago. And that's what kicked off the whole Flight MG857 mess. Monterra used a hacker called Hyena, leveraging Flight MG857 to get Sebastian's blood for their experiments. But once again, Stella ruined their perfect plan. The situation on Sumepa Island was spiraling out of control. Chapter 472 Teach You How to Stay Alive By now, things had reached a breaking point. Monterra had completely lost control.
If anyone from another country set foot on the island, there was no way they could keep the secret buried. All Monterra had to do was make sure nobody made it out alive. If they couldn't finish the mission in 72 hours, they'd just wait for the International Military Council to blow the whole island to smithereens and bury the secret for good. "We-" Noe said, and then took a deep breath, his face hardening with resolve. "Mr. Gray, Ms. Carter! "I want to crank up the training," his voice rang out. Behind Noe, everyone shouted together, "Mr. Gray, Ms. Carter, crank up the training!
Make it tougher!" Their voices echoed across the mountaintop. Joey glanced around, the fear he'd felt at first now burning away, replaced by pure adrenaline. Suddenly, he understood why his dad had thrown him into this chaos. He thought, 'Time to pull off something huge! 'Life or death, I'm ready for anything! 'Totally worth it!' "Boss! I'm ready," Joey yelled, thumping his chest so hard he started coughing between hits. Stella looked at the young, determined faces in front of her. She raised an eyebrow. "Now, let's really get started," she said.
Stella raised her hand and tossed Pebble into the air again, this time whistling sharply. For miles around, cold eyes that were hidden in the trees, underground, and along the mountain streams snapped open, as if they were summoned. With a chorus of rustling and shifting, they all converged on the mountain base, now wrapped in thick, steamy haze. Soon, a training ground that perfectly mimicked the island was rapidly taking shape.
