Chapter 286 The Mysterious Package It was Blake! Stella, already guessing what it was about, casually hung up the phone. She replied with a quick "Wait a sec" on WhatsApp and started to get up, but something tugged at the hem of her shirt, holding her back. She glanced down. Lucas was still fast asleep. Stella smiled. With a stylish one-handed move, she whipped off her T-shirt, now just in her camisole. She strolled into the closet, grabbed a random hoodie, and headed out without a second thought. Snowball yawned with a little squeak.
In the Attic gaming room, the smart lights flicked on, giving the top-tier black computer cases an icy, mechanical vibe. Stella powered up one of them and slouched into her gaming chair. Her fingers flew over the keyboard, keys clicking and clacking as white code zipped across the black screen. Five seconds later, the screen jumped straight to the lon Wing Drones factory. Stella sipped her water, unfazed as she watched the feed, the glow of the screen flickering in her eyes. She waited until she'd downed half her glass before grabbing her phone and hitting video call.
The call connected almost instantly. "Stella," Blake greeted, looking like he was at the drone assembly plant, chaos everywhere behind him. He was tugging at his tie, clearly frustrated. The manager and the factory supervisor were standing right next to him. Blake said, "The chips of those 3,000 drones you wanted me to put together are messed up. We can't upgrade the system." He scratched his head, clearly annoyed. "I reached out to the chip supplier in Monterra, but they're just making things difficult on purpose." Stella nodded. She'd guessed as much.
She looked totally chill, but her fingers kept flying over the keyboard. Her eyes flicked to the top right corner of the screen. Stella said, "Go grab a package from the front door." Blake exclaimed, "Wait, what?" Right then, someone popped in to tell Blake he had a package at the door. With a blank, almost dumbfounded look on his face, Blake wandered out to the entrance. Standing there was a Dorestan Express courier, sporting a shirt with a stylized Nova logo and wearing a weirdly kind smile. Blake froze for a moment.
Sure, he'd heard all about Dorestan Express, but seeing a real delivery guy from them was a first! 'So this is the legendary delivery service everyone raves about, the one that can get a package to any corner of the world in a flash?' Blake thought, still a little stunned. Stella reminded him over the phone, "Sign for it." Blake was in such a daze that he barely remembered signing for the package, let alone how he wandered back into the factory.
Stella ordered, "Go ahead, unbox it." She paused her typing, zoomed in on the semen, AndTour Thielm her oversized custom gaming chair, water Successfully unlocked! 1/3 Chapter 286 The Mysterious Package in hand. The chair was so ridiculously comfy and spacious, Stella couldn't help but think, 'Man, I could totally doze off in this thing.' Blake cracked open the box. His breath caught in his throat. 'Talk about luck, just when I needed it most, it shows up!' Blake thought, almost giddy. Inside, the box was stuffed to the brim with chips.

Blake's hands were literally shaking; he could barely believe it! "Stella?" Blake choked out. Stella shot him a lazy glance. "You have thirty minutes. Get those chips installed, run the power tests, and then make sure everyone clears out." The gaming room door swung open. Sebastian, fresh from his shower, walked in wearing a comfy round-neck tee and lounge pants, his collarbones standing out. Stella gave him a look that said she was on a video call with Blake. Sebastian didn't say a word.
His slippers made a dull sound as he padded over to her, glanced at the screen, Blake in the factory, clutching that box of chips like a total dork. Stone-faced, Sebastian just reached out and hung up the video call. The next second, Stella was lifted off her feet, cradled in Sebastian's arms, and then gently set down, right onto his lap. On the computer screen, Blake was still holding his phone, totally oblivious to what was happening, too hyped up to notice a thing. Blake said, "Okay!" 'Seriously?' Stella thought, her patience wearing thin. 'The call's already ended!
Will you just check your phone?' Stella said, "You're so tense." She playfully tried to wriggle out of Sebastian's lap, a hint of mock annoyance on her face, but his arm stayed firmly around her waist, refusing to let go. Sebastian leaned his head against her shoulder, his freshly washed hair falling softly, looking totally relaxed. " Stella, my shoulder's killing me." Stella stilled, then shifted sideways to look at him. There was a knock at the door. Stella said, "Come in." Jake poked his head in, clutching a bottle of disinfectant and some bandages.
He was grinning sheepishly, sporting a comically bruised right eye. Stella turned to Sebastian. "Is that your handiwork?" Sebastian's eyes darted around, but he kept quiet. "Ms. Carter, I'll just leave the medicine here," Jake said, sneaking in and setting the disinfectant and bandages on the desk. Then, like he was being chased by something evil, he bolted out and slammed the door behind him. Stella rolled her eyes. Sebastian pulled off his loose home shirt, showing off his lean and toned physique, just letting the shirt dangle from one arm.
He gave her a blank look, and from where Stella sat, his abs were totally on display. Unbothered, Stella grabbed the bandages and disinfectant. Sebastian frowned. 'Is she even noticing me?' he thought, his gaze heavy, locked on her. 2/3 Chapter 286 The Mysterious Package "Lift your arm," Stella said. Sebastian obediently lifted his arm, but the angle was awkward for Stella. So, without even blinking, she just swung her leg over and settled onto his lap, tending to his wound. "I'm going to school tomorrow, so I probably won't be back until late," Stella said, like it was no big deal.
Sebastian frowned, his tone cool. "How late?" "No idea," Stella said, giving his shoulder a quick tap. "Just stay still." She wrapped the bandage around his wound, layer after layer, acting like she didn't even notice Sebastian's sulky look. When she finished, he spoke up again, "What if Lucas misses you?" Stella raised an eyebrow, giving him a questioning glance. Sebastian averted his eyes, and after a moment, "I'll miss you," he muttered. Stella was caught off guard, totally not expecting that.
Stella said, "Say that again?" Sebastian lowered his eyes, pretending not to hear her, turning his face away. But from where Stella was sitting, she suddenly realized, he looked just like a grown-up Lucas. Guess the family resemblance was real. "Fine, I'll try to get back early," Stella finally gave in. Before Sebastian could respond, Stella's phone buzzed urgently again. She turned to grab it, yep, it was Blake. Without missing a beat, she said in her usual deadpan, "Sebastian, put your shirt on." Expression blank and mood dark, Sebastian pulled his loose home shirt back on.
But with a quick command from Stella, the massive computer screen split cleanly down the middle, factory feed kept running on one side, while the other side popped up a new video call window. Blake said, "Stella... Uh, hi, Mr. Gray!" Blake was so startled to see Sebastian suddenly show up on his phone screen that he almost fumbled and dropped it. Right now, Blake was the only one left in the whole factory. All around him, row after row of sleek black lon Wing Drones sat quietly on the floor, their carbon fiber bodies giving off a cold, high-tech vibe. "Don't move," Stella ordered.
Blake nodded. "Okay!" His head shot up, eyes wide as he scanned the room in disbelief. He realized a moment later that Stella's voice wasn't coming from his phone at all, but was echoing through speakers hidden all around the factory. And before he could even process that, something even crazier happened. 3/3 Subscribed 5 Likes Editorial Board Editorial Board Our editorial team works behind the scenes to refine each chapter, maintain consistency, and deliver the best reading experience.
